Alright, judging from the last few posts I've seen, this is a topic that's been repeated to some length in some form or another, barring that... here's my own dilema.

I have Dragon Age on the 360 and it's an amazing game, from what I've seen, though, the PC version is way better, I enjoyed the tactical combat the most, which was... awkward on the console. This is only becoming a problem now because I cranked up the difficulty and the console version of the game is having trouble keeping up with my orders, and I'm suffering for it.

I'm very tempted to get the PC version so I can have a save before DA2 comes out, which, I would then also get on the PC. The thing is, I invested very heavily into the 360 version. I bought nearly every one of the DLCs with the exception of the gift packs, Leliana's Song and Darkspawn Chronicles.

I just got a Steam Account, and a brand new laptop that doesn't suck (finally) and I have a fair bit of change on hand, enough to purchase the ultimate edition.
Should I get it? Is the game that much better on PC? Or should I get something else?

But no one buys the same game multiple times (even for different platforms) except rich, spoiled white boys. :p
Well, I'm not rich... but the other parts are spot on.

Yeah, it's pretty much been said already. I don't know if I'd bother paying for two versions of the same game (Unless one was really cheap and had clear advantages) but I can't imagine playing Dragon Age on a console. It feels like it was meant to be on the the PC.

Modding is a plus, too. It especially opens up much more interesting choices with character creation, let me tell you. (I found the default stuff to be very bland and generic, despite the variety)

Go for it, I bought the game twice as well, and it is totally worth it (However, I hadn't purchased any of the DLC on 360, just had the free stuff). Still, with the ultimate edition available with all DLC, I'd say it's totally worth it.

Dragon Age on PC is better if just for the ability to scroll back to a more tactical camera angle. If you're interested in getting the game and are not in any rush I'd wait til the next time Steam has the ultimate edition on special.

Personally, I'd do it, but the Steam Christmas sale should be starting soon and I'll bet dollars to donuts that it'll go on sale then. Wait for it!

I would get it on the PC. You could get the ultimate edition on Steam for $50 and it includes the game, all the DLC, and Awakening.

Hell if I had an extra $60(?) on hand I'd but it for the PC. I played it on the PS3 and frankly, next to AC 2 it is in my Top 3 of all time, along with KOTOR.

personally i think pc gaming is crap all together, i dont know why i cant play them it just leaves me annoyed and would much rather do console, the only benefit to pc gaming i can see is modding..........and thats all. i dont know why i hate pc gaming, i guess its just the way i am, but 1 exception, minecraft, i can play that for hours.

soo on to the main subject i would say stick to the xbox version because the only good mods i have seen for dragon age would be the nudity one witch are nice if you want to spank the monkey to your favorite game. thats my opinion and i dont mean to offend any pc gamers out there.
