I wonder how many of those sales have finished the games. I hope that's the sequel does well. Maybe then Bioware will realize that people enjoy this sort of thing and want more Baldur's Gate somehow, even though the storyline is sort of wrapped up.

Dragon Age: Origins Goes Platinum Thrice

According to EA's press release, this makes the sixth major blockbuster BioWare has released in a row, following Baldur's Gate (still my favorite), Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect. I'm not sure why EA didn't list Mass Effect 2 amongst those properties, as the company revealed in late January that it sold 2 million copies in its first week, which puts it in even higher standings than Dragon Age. Maybe EA doesn't consider a game a blockbuster unless it goes triple plat, yo.

1. Baldur's Gate
2. Neverwinter Nights
3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
4. Jade Empire
5. Mass Effect
6. Dragon Age: Origins

Why didnt they list ME2, hmmm maybe cause its the sequel to Mass Effect?
Seriously recheck what ya write man or editors check this stuff.
They mean they have 6 intellectual properties that have made money like this including Baldur's Gate.

I bought Dragon Age, but I haven't got a chance to play it yet. Other games I have to finish first (Silent Hill 2 and Alan Wake[which by the wasy isn't that good]). But I can't wait!

Am I the only one that thought DA:O was a generic, mediocre-at-best experience? Lots of people praise the story, but I really didn't find anything that was different in it from your average Dragonlance novel. You want a good fantasy story? Read A Song of Ice and Fire.
You are not. Well, I would probably say it's better than mediocre-it was good enough to keep me playing for a couple dozen hours-but I found the setting to be too unoriginal too keep me interested enough to even come close to finishing the game. I wish they had focused things much more on the Fade; of what I played, I found that to be the most interesting aspect of the world.

Bioware is just awesome. They are a well oiled machine for making great games. Everything they do is pure awesomeness.
