I'm trying so hard to enjoy this game after it's hype and amazing, trouser changing trailers, but, whilst the game play is good and the combat hard as old nails, I have two issues with the game

1. Is the graphics or well, the textures really, they have a bad habit of completely disappearing, leaving a vast black space with invisible walls, randomly floating banners and a strange red/orange tint on my armor. Also the fires occasionally tend to be 2-D orange squares.

2. More importantly, it seems to have Empire: Total War (or ETW) syndrome (yes I just made that up), where it randomly crashes to my (awesome) desktop. I've had roughly 12 crashes since I started playing it 1am Friday GMT, about 32 hours ago. Some games I've played for years haven't even clocked that crash rate up! I'm afraid this game is going the way of E:TW for me.

Anyone else having similar problems?

If you are should steam start thoroughly testing games before they're released? Because if this keeps happening with new games on release date, steam might not be as popular as it is for very long.

For me the game runs smooth, there are no graphical glitches and not a single crash in the three days that I've been playing it (all day long mostly). Hell, I can even Alt-Tab without any problems. Load times are fast and technically speaking the game is a marvel.

Updated a few more drivers, I should perhaps keep onto of them, works OK now, hence why I've been away for 6 hours, need to stretch and eat......but later.

My specs are just over the recommended ones, and when I piece the money together, it will be well above muwahahahaha.

*is sad that his mainboard fried on him as he was installing his 5770 which is most likely defective. *Starts crying profusely*

I had heard that people with AMD chips are experiencing retarded load times. I rented the PS3 version (Since my 360 is away being repaired.) and I hope it will arrive today. If I like it I will probably get it for PC after it is repaired. Hopes to god the CPU is still good.

This might be a driver problem. Update all of them and see if it works after. If not then it's a compatibility issue and well...there's nothing you can do about it.

The Steam PC version Dragon Age has already been given a few patches as well, might want to check if box release has the same.

I havent had the game crash like that since ive been playing and im around 13 hours in. The only small annoyance is sometimes when I alt+tab out of the game itll shut down so im kinda wary to alt tabbing now while playing it. Other than that it runs great on my rig and i have had no graphical glitches.
