I just spotted the advertisments here on The Escapist. I got to say it looks good and i will be buying it when i get my xbox back (RROD). Their website says it is going to be simialr to Mass Effect.. But with Dragons not aliens.
Also, anyone else notice that the end song in the advert is Marilyn Manson's song, This is the new shit, I hope they have his permission to use it.

Anyone else intrested in Dragon Age?

Yep, have been for 3+ years since it was first announced that Bioware was looking at working on their own IP instead of doing NWN2.

Using this Song for Dragon Age is the greatest mistake in an already sub-par marketing campaign. Sure, it might have caught the attention of some "cool kids" who normally just bully all the kids that play D&D, but it confuses the hell out of anyone who cares about...you know, Dragons and Ages and Swords and stuff.

And other than that...HOW COULD ANYONE THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO ADVERTISE A GAME, OR ANY PRODUCT, WITH A SONG CALLED "THIS IS THE NEW SHIT".
And i did not even talk about the lyrics here. If you put them into the equiation, you end up thinking the marketing guys at EA make fun of themselves and pretty much want to get fired.

But enough of that.
The actual Game behind all that looks very interesting and promising in terms of creating a very own story for your characters. And mentioning the Baldurs Gate Games of old along with Dragon Age certainly helps, too.
But i am still a bit skeptical and wait for the reviews.

Hell Yeah... got my collector's edition pre-ordered already so that I can get that sweet armor for Mass Effect 2.... I'm a Bioware fanboy... been that way ever since they showed me what a real Star Wars game was.

I've been following it since it was announced and I'm really looking forward to it once it releases October 3rd.
It doesn't seem as similar to Mass Effect as it does to Baldur's Gate, which they say Dragon Age is a spiritual successor to. Maybe with the choices and amount of story, but the gameplay doesn't look at all the same.

I am not entirely convinced this is not someone at Biowares idea, I mean... they have a very quirky sense of humor. I have never known another Dev team to Start Flame wars in their own forums because they found it funny to wind people up.

Still, this is the shit is a bad idea to promote their game, it has nothing to do with dragons and swords etc It also completely killed the mood that the start of the advert set (epic quest, orcestrial music stuff).
