I am going to see the film. Something about a Dragonball live action screams unintentional comedy of the year.

It was a live-action version of "curse of the blood rubies"; made about 10 to 15 years ago.

Puuar was a bird, Oolong was a fat guy who could change his shape and Gram pa Gohan was in it too (alive from beginning to end).

it had the turtle hermit and the flying nimbus.

This might be another case where fantasy fails to translate into reality.

I suppose this will be one of those movies where if you haven't seen heard or read anything about dragon ball before then, it will be a nice family-oriented movie, but for those of us who have, it will be a cringe-worthy event, I mean does the goku character even have a tail in the movie or did they think that wasn't realistic either.

I'd just like to have one conversation about animation/cartoons/anime without a Simpsons quote or reference. I know it's not the end of the world, but it's quite common I've found.[/stuffyness]

You guys did realize that it's DRAGONBALL (No Z or GT) right? If you look it up anywhere it says King Picolo. And it's got grandpa Gohan in it. I don't like that there's a white Picolo either, but stop complaining about no Super Saiyans, at least we'll probably get Great Apes.
