So, I finally got myself a 5 qt. KitchenAid and I am so glad that a)I finally have one, and b)that from here on all kitchen stuffs are cheaper for me. This tool has been my yearning for quite some time. I was wondering, for all of you on the escapist who actually cook/bake, what is the one thing that you wish you had in your kitchen, for me, all I need now is a polished basalt countertop.

A takeout menu and a phone. Nobody in my family cooks.

I wish I had a robot that made food I like, because I'm notorious not only for being extremely picky, but also for being too lazy to make myself food even when I'm really hungry.

I'm Chinese so I enjoy doing crazy stuff to food in stir-fry pans. I'd like a stir-fry pan that would soak up all the flavour yet clean itself.

I've been wanting a waffle iron for ages. I love waffles, but I can't help but think they'd taste better to me if I could ditch the Eggo and make my own batter.

Also, I'd dig a deep-fryer, mainly so I can deep-fry my tacos. Unhealthy in every damn sense of the word, but it'd probably be the best tasting heart attack I ever indulged in.

Something that'd whack me round the head everytime I go down to the kitchen and instead of making meself something really nice that I know I can, I settle for some shredded cheese straight from the packaging, because I'm too damn lazy. Incidentally, it could also whack me round the head when I'm reading The Escapist instead of studying for my exams like, you know, now.

You didn't specify that it has to actually exist, so I wish I had a gun that shoots sandwiches. Tasty, armor piercing sandwiches.

An enormous collection of knives. Think of the possibilities. Oh, and I suppose you could use them to cook.

This is a custom made chef's knife. It's a total of 375mm long with a blade 240mm long and 2.5mm thick. Total Weight of 310g. Made of Damacus steel. Retails at $320 US. It's also razor sharp and because of the steel selection and forging process, keeps it's edge very well.

It's also gorgeous. I figure I should mention that.

A minion to do all the cutting things up and measuring things, so I can flounce in like a TV chef and do the actual cooking.
