There was a stage in my life where I wanted to be known as 'Derek'...probably a fascination I had with Star Blazers' Derek Wildstar.

I also used to detest my middle name 'Alan' for years....now I don't mind it so much and even had people at work call me Alan due to a typo in H.R. on welcome statements when I started there. I still answer to it for some reason.
