Never been a big fan of post 1996 Sega. To me, they were finished by the time the Saturn arrived. The MegaDrive (Genesis) definitely a console to remember. I never owned one myself, but had the pleasure of borrowing one from a friend to play for a year back in the day.

Though there have been a few recent Sega games which have caught my eye (Alpha Protocol, Resonance of Fate), after reading reviews and customers' opinions I decided against buying.

To conclude, I think Sonic is best enjoyed in 2D. Sonic 3D on the Saturn was a nice try, but was a bit awkward.

I'd say just leave the dreamcast in it's noble untimely grave, and not try to dig up and fck it over again. Besides that, Sega can barly put out games above a B, I don't think they'll stand any chance in todays console wars aside from just nostalgic factor which will end rly fast. I'd rather them put out some of their better dreamcast titles for download like say.... JET SET RADIO!!

If Microsoft and Sony both follow through with their plans to release no new consoles until 2015, another developer could easily grab a ton of profit in the meantime with a powerful console released in, oh, 2011 or 2012. If it's a developer like Sega, that headstart would give an even bigger advantage.
I strongly think that we will see new a console announcment by microsoft not at the next E3 but at the oen after. I think 2013 and we will probably have it out for xmas that year, 2014 at the very, very latest.

Microsoft have good ground on playstation due to Sony's slow release and slow take up, it they release a new console a year or two before the PS4 then again they will take the vast majority of customers. Sony will be playing catch up all over again.

Both sides know it so I doubt either will stick to their 2015 statement.
