If I believe the forum search, the last topic concerning dreams was a few months ago, if the forum search has let me down... sorry.

I dream in the third person. My dreams are almost never about me, but fictional characters my brain makes up. I don't ever dream about video game, movie or book characters, but these things do make me dream more often and influence the setting. One day I started writing them down, here's one.

I once had a dream about an old scientist who lived in a cave. He built his life's ambition in secret, funded by shady sources. What did he build? Robotic kitten's, not for any desire to make some convoluted weapon of war, but out of profound loneliness; he loved those kittens and he treated them like his own children.

Of course the scientist's past caught up with him and eventually those shady benefactors demanded compensation. On a dark and stormy night, Old and frail, the poor scientist watched helplessly as his beloved robot kittens were stolen from him, spirited away to a dark fate.

The old man would not let it end this way. With the small amount of strength he could muster, the scientist grabbed all sorts of wonky, half built devices. Jetpacks, steam guns, android spiders, you name it, and valiantly flew off to take his kittens back.

That's when I woke up, always at the good part.
TLDR: It's about stolen mech kittens.

So lets talk about dreams, what kind of dreams do you have?
Are they first person, third person, about you, somebody else, alien cows?
What's the weirdest dream you can remember?

I rarely remember my dreams but I often find I fall or need to run from/at something. Running in a dream is so damn difficult!

My dreams are usually ultra-weird. People become protractors. Kissing disembodied heads. The skin on my face coming off in chunks.

Recently, though, they've been pretty boring:
- Dreampt I was in the school canteen, I tried to buy lunch, and found I only had about 27 pence in my wallet.
- Recurring dreams about Supreme Commander. I'm kind of playing the game, kind of in the game - I'm zoomed out to the minimap-style view, and don't see any kind of controls. In fact, I don't remember any controls. Or really telling anything to do anything, but this might be my normal lack of control in dreams. Nothing weird happens except time skips around a little. It's a lot more boring than a usual game of SupCom, and the way I play it it gets pretty boring anyway. I think I actually woke up because of being bored by the dream on several occasions, but it might just be related to being ill.

This is when I actually dream, though. Usually I don't. The recurring one puts it up to three/four dreams in the last two months, a record as far as my memory serves (which is not very far at all).

My chances are my dreams are one of these-

30% As if I'm still in High School (very annoying since it make me think I got school tommorrow).
5% An "emotional" dream where I think it's real therefore my emotional get played out on that situation (so annoying getting sad/ depress over nothing).
25% Base or a recent things (eg like something I had watched) or something I like.
10% "Other" dreams (I won't say)
20% Something I won't remember the next day.
0.001% A dream when I feel truly happiness in it.

I have all kinds of strange dreams I remember once I had a dream about being stuck on a volcano floating through the air trying not to fall off ohhh and the volcano was held in the air by a hot air balloon attached to the top so heat from the magma kept it off the ground.

I also tend to dream like a movie so I will see myself from angles like you see in a movie.

I seriously do not dream. My brain just sucks. It's not even like the memory is fuzzy. It's non-existent. *Sadface.

Non-sequiturial stuff, mostly. Things just kind of happen, and in the dream it all makes perfect sense, and then I wake up, think about what I just dreamt, and then go wat.

Well, I had a dream about Minecraft last night, first person and all... It was kinda creepy.

Usually I go all third person, Dali-esque surreality with at least a little sexual twist to it. I can never remember all of it though, just random scenes and happenings. One scene that has stuck with me (from maybe six back now) is of a section of a street near me. Identical toddlers on tricycles with red balloons attached to the backs of them are cycling up and down the grassy bank. There's a purple bird on the fence nearest to me, and the clouds are made up of ants.

I dreamt it just after I'd left high school, and I'm almost 90% positive that it was about homework I'd failed to do beforehand.

I love my dreams.
