Today in lunch i sat down, and saw a bunch of people crowded around a girl. she had a water bottle full of vodka, and she was just hammered. also, her friends around her were hammered, and they could barely talk. all i could say was..."this is why i hate people". and after school i asked my friend chris(who was like right next to the girl with the vodka) why like seven people were drunk, and he just said they said it was fun. and i also know for a fact that about 75% of the kids in my grade get together to get drunk.

Now for the point/question

What do you think about 14 year old getting drunk.
what do u think about 14 year old getting drunk IN SCHOOL?
any othr thoughts on the subject of underage drinkin are also welcome.

I don't like children, so I'm immensely biased (yeah, I'm 16, but in mind I'm older, unlike these twatsicles), and so I naturally want them beaten, because they're having fun and I'm not. There's no happiness like oblivious happiness.

Some alcohol can be good for a learning experience. But getting hammered all the time at their age leads to sooo many problems, including health and social problems. I was 'fairly' responsible with alcohol when I first started occasionally (and I mean occasionally) drinking with friends around 15/16, but many kids don't have a clue. Getting drunk in school is just plain retarded

It's probably ok for a little while, but I don't understand why people get drunk.

Holy Ravioli, just like me.

Anyway kids smoke/drink because they think that "We are, like, completely adult, ". They want to eradicate their brain cells/get closer to cancer/become junkies before they are mature - hey, it's their decision.

Oh yeah, also to make socialising easier, but at what cost.

EDIT: added something

My plan and hope is for so many of them in my year to ruin themselves in this way that my chances of getting into an awesome university get better and better.

Hey, Lazor?
Do keep refusing to drink with them.
Please. Let me know there is at least one responsible 14 year old out there.
I really don't like when underage people get drunk. Partly because I'm irritated at them for not waiting for something to be gained legitimately due to age, but mostly because the people I know who did get drunk really young were insufferable asshats after they got intoxicated.
And getting drunk in school?
Your teachers are either blind or uncaring for that to happen.
I say make the drunk kids have a spelling bee. That would be quiet funny.

It's stupid.

I did indeed drink when I was 14-16, but that was at parties in the evenings and at weekends. But doing so in school...it's clearly a cry for attention.

Plus why would you drink vodka in school? IMO it's not the nicest of drinks at the best of times, especially if you are getting drunk on pure neat vodka. A few beers I might have more sympathy (as on a hot day a couple of ice-cold beers really sorts things out).

At such an age alcohol can cause severe developmental issues - if this is/becomes a regular thing then they probably need medical/psychiatric help...but I'm sad to say I'm not surprised if this happened in the UK (my school year seems to be the last of the "non-idiotic", but then I'm sure everyone thinks that of their year).

They're idiots, if you noticed then it's likely some of the staff did, so they probably won't be in the school for much longer. If they didn't notice then get revenge by grassing them up - or make sure a staff member "coincidentally" finds them if they do it again.

it happened in America. everyone thinks england. they all sit at the usually overcrowded back "cool people who talk about how much they fucked each other and their penis lengths table." so im pretty sure a water bottle wouldnt look conspicuous.

Well, that's very good to hear.
I cannot imagine how funny that was to see. Did you count the number of times someone fell?

Getting drunk's pretty fun, and it would be hypocritical of me to condemn a 14 year old for getting drunk, although at least I was responsible with my drinking. In fact, the only time I got totally smashed was at my Year 11 Leaver's party camp-out and gig.

Drinking in school is stupid though, and I definetly wouldn't be surprised if she dropped out or failed school in general thanks to that (or at least in part).

no because i was to busy laughing. and one kid got kicked in the face and didnt do anything. i was dying. which is probably why i fell to. but i fell with style, i like flipped backwards and slide.

You know, this probably means she's going to become famous. Life works that way, which is why life and I are constantly at odds with each other.

Life is a git (but you must at least keep being his friend).

this thread reminds me, gotta go get a beer. need writing fuel.

I don't care about people drinking. it makes socialising easier. don't like it when they're loud, otherwise I don't give a crap. funny when they fall over (not so funny when I do).

edit: fuck, "Best" Bitter. tastes like the weepings from a dying leper. I'm still drinking it.

I myself don't partake in the devil's nectar, sorfr about the accent and reference. No I've never really seen the appeal of drinking, kids do it to feel more adult but over-do thus creating the current binge-drinking mindset that believes alcohol is used to get off your tits.

if you enjoy drinking do drink but you should never let it control you or how you percieve yourself, if you NEED a drink to meet new people or other confidence building you need to look at your life a bit. Rant over.
