If i'm with friends sure. Competitive games (not online) becomes more fun when you're drunk.
Though i must admitt i find it kinda sad when someone bursts out how drunk they are in an online game (unless theres 2 or more of them at the same time)
Drinking when you're alone is pittyful in my oppinion, and beeing sober but bragging about how drunk you are online (and offline) is even worse

On an unrelated-to-gaming note, I write code approximately 35% more efficient, and with roughly 10% less errors-per-compilation when I'm hammered. But if I get stuck (at a puzzle in a game or a rough algorithm in code), then alcohol just screws me over.

When I do drink and play, I usually play games that don't require quick reactions. So Counter-Strike is out. I will usually go for a strategy game I can pause, or an RPG of some sort.

I Like smoking cannabis and playin rock band with friends its great fun ,must be done sitting down or else you get that lazy i dont want to move feeling in your legs

Ahhhh getting smashed and playing Guitar Hero. Fun until your relexes go and you start to suck.... really... really badly. Then it's not so fun.
I usually try and keep the 2 seperate. I'm glad I managed to do half of the thieves guild quests in Oblivion in one night but when my friends ask me for help and I can't remember what I did it does kinda defeat the purpose.
Drinking and playing games with your friends, however, is AWESOME good fun. Any Super Smash Bros, Burnout Revenge + Paradise Party, Starcraft and Heroes of Might and Magic III are good for it.

The first time i played half life 2 i was drunk...
I played the whole game from start to finish in that night/next morning.

known to go through several jugs of sake when my spouse, and I's friend comes over once a week, and we tend to play through various RB/GH games and such pretty heavily plowed....cant say performance gets worse so much as stamina sucks.
