I am need of assistance.

Anyway, I'm trying to set up a Wi-Fi connection for my ds, but I'm having some problems. I search for an accses point in my house, but it says "The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS"

Do I need to turn off my security for it to work? Do I need to do something on the DS? I only have until april 10! Help! *I'm not so educated at this don't ya know*

lol

My best guess is the security on your network is that it's set up in WPA, which the DS cannot use. Talk to whoever does the network and change it to a WEP security setup, at least until you have no need for it anymore.

What kind of access point? Is this a router or something else? I know my router had to have some settings switched before any DS could access it. Though what settings you tweak will likely differ depending on the router you have.

DS and DS Lite only work with low security Networks, Nintendo could only be bothered to fix it for the newer models DSi and 3DS.

Says me annoyed about limited edition Pokemon :'(

I had this problem too. It means that the DS cannot use your router to go on Nintendo WFC. Is your's on old model DS? Mine was (from release day) and I had trouble getting on lots of routers. Getting a 3DS helped though, never had a problem since.

The DS-phat and the DS-lite only work with 802.11b, and only support networks that are WEP encrypted or non-encrypted.

Check your router settings.

Also, when it fails to connect, the DS should give you an error code that you can use to look up on Nintendo's Support Site [http://support.nintendo.com].
