11 years actually. Personally, I'm of the opinion that it will be released sometime this year. They put out the teaser (seriously, that thing is like a month old now) and they're putting Duke3D on XBLA trying to drum up interest again. Wishfull thinking? Maybe... but I'm old enough to remember how truly awesome Duke3D was back in the day.

This seems like a pretty solid theory, and frankly I think the only reason we don't have a release date is because now that they're releasing info again, this is kind of their last chance. If they miss a release date now, after jerking us around so bad in the late 90's, they'll never recoup their losses. This time needs to be right. Enough regular games get delayed as it is - I wouldn't be surprised if they don't give us a date until it's ready to ship, which will be supported by a marketing campaign that will make the guys at Bungie go weak at the knees.ReepNeep said:

i agree, i hope the new duke nukem game takes the same unapologetic stance on violence and tits that crank and shoot em up did. i am so freaking tired of everyone acting like you have to excuse violence with something like it's only ok for a game to have violence if it was set in a violent era, screw that, i would play a game where your soul objective is to walk the streets of L.A. breaking peoples backs, wrecking old people's shit, and spiking children off the cement.
as for the new duke game, i hope it comes out soon i will say once i saw this trailer i went and found me a copy of duke 3d on bit torrent. beat it too, hehe, with the advancement of everything since 3d i certainly hope we get some high quality filth with this title whenever it drops, and it'll hopefully make boatloads of cash. i'm pulling for this game to actually contain "full digital nudity" we are running short of bad asses in the gaming industry it seems to be dying out with the advance of feminism.
