Yes but recently I've noticed a trend of doing April Fools jokes slightly earlier to make them less obvious. I did say "early" April Fools joke. Though even though it's only a week til April, this might be a little too early.

Well I guess it would not be DNF if they didn't delay one last time, after all it is a practice that has been going on for 10+ years, so why stop now?

I'd still say that it is possible that this is an early April Fools joke, if nothing else to dodge the "obvious-factor" that comes with "announcements" made on April 1st.

I doubt it's an April Fools joke, when did they actual start developing?
Doesn't feel like that long ago his studio took up the project, and any good game needs it's heavy time investment. They probably knew people would find it funny to delay the game again if they needed to.

And yes, July 4th release would be golden.

That's pretty hilarious, I'm not of the opinion people were waiting on tenterhooks for it though.

I'm pissed. I have an operation just prior to its release date and I was intending to play it during my recovery. I even pre-ordered the game from Future Shop (probably a bad idea, given that it's DNF).

Considering it has been 10 years of waiting for MANY people, if this game doesn't redefine at least 2 genres, become game of the year, have more then 40 hours of game play, have the most immersive plot of any game so far, be emotionally touching and being insanely enjoyable and fun to play.... I think a lot of people will be disappointed.
