So if you don't know already the sequel of dumb and dumber is supposed two be released
in 2014
What are your thoughts about it?

I for one am really excited it is being made by the same actors and directors as the first one.
So I really hope it is great and everyone can forget that dumb and dumberer was a thing

I feel the same way I feel for the Anchorman sequel: completely apathetic.

Admittedly, it's been years and years since I saw the first Dumb and Dumber film -- I saw it probably before I should have -- but I didn't like it back then, I don't like its actors and I don't like its sense of humor.

The first movie was a decent little goofball comedy, but this just sounds like more old people trying squeeze some cash out of a once popular thing. [small]I guess at least Jeff Daniels is glad he's getting another paycheck.[/small]

What's next, There's Something about Mary... Again?

I don't care for that kind of humor at all and based on the pictures from the set I've seen they look pedo-creepy as fuck rather than dumb. Dem wrinkles, man.

At the time it was released, Dumb and Dumber was a great film. Today it doesn't necessarily hold up as well, except in nostalgia terms (my Grandfather and I went to it, so its a special memory for me). But I do still love it even if the humor is low-brow. A sequel, well... the Farrelly bros. have evolved significantly, made some hit-and-miss comedies, and Jim Carrey is sometimes funny and sometimes just... well Jim Carrey. I really do respect his acting ability though when he does serious movies. Man in the Moon is still one of my favorite of all time films because of how spot on he was playing Andy Kaufman.
We will see how it works.

You mean Jeff Daniels who won an Emmy about a week ago?

I really liked the first when I was a kid and it still makes me chuckle. (some of the jokes are classics that will be funny in 50 years I think) I hope this one is at least as good, but I doubt it. It's like a law.

I don't really know what he's up to these days. The last thing I saw him in was Looper, and that itself felt like a long time since I'd seen him in a movie.

TBH i'm not sure. Most sequels generally aren't as good as the first from my understanding of common wisdom? So i dunno, i'll take a wait and see attitude.

He is in the Newsroom and is pretty good in it from what I hear. I also thought he was well cast in Looper. Considering he beat out Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad among others and considering how big TV is getting compared to movies. I imagine the producers got him for a lot less than they would have if they booked him today.

when i was a kid i liked dumb and dumber. i rewatched it couple years ago and found it compeltely pathetic. so im really not looking forward for it but i probably am going to see it anyway since i watch pretty much all big-title movies (though less now due to time constraints). ive seen almost 2000 of them already.

I had no interest in the movie whatsoever. The first one had it's moments, but I can't imagine sitting through a second one. Now that I've seen that picture, it looks terrifying.

I liked the first one. Just two overly oblivious guys trying to make it. This sequel ... I'd like to see what Jeff Daniels does new if anything. Jim Carrey can ... well, I'll not start a flame debate but let's just say I don't like him much anymore. Love his older stuff, but the person he's become turns me away from his films.

I'm not sure.. I really liked the first one when i was a kid, it was just ok when i rewatched it a few years ago and i'm having a hard time liking anything new that Jim Carrey does these days. Sure i'll watch it, but i'm not expecting much from it.

Didn't they already make a terrible prequel to this movie? Why would they try it a third time...

Psh, that title would never make it past the people in marketing. I can see it now, up in lights as an angry mob burns down the Chinese Theater: There's Something Else About Mary.

Spoiler alert: She used to be a dude.
