I know this place hates linking to the posters content since its typically spam.

My question is can I post a link to a text file(want to ask writing advice, its 4 pages long) from jump share which can not be used to find anything else by me, is not littered with ads and only links to the jump share main page?

I could use pastebin but I think if you have an account you can find other files by the poster which would count as spam as far as I understand the rules.

No, it wouldn't actually. I think you're getting two things confused here: first, you're saying "spam" but you mean "advertisement". Second, you reckon that anything that's linked to an account that's yours offsite would count as one, when that isn't the case - I don't see anybody getting into trouble for linking stuff that they legitimately need to link to. Besides, the forums are riddled with YouTube links and embedded videos and were the rules as strict as you think, then each and every one of those would be advertisement. But given the fact that people don't get any moderator wrath for that, it's pretty clear the advertisement rules hasn't been broken. So you'll be fine, I think.

As a side note, there are hundreds of ways to post stuff without even making it traceable to an account, if you don't wish to - you can use Dropbox (I'm fairly sure the links are clear), or Pastebin (you can post stuff without an account), or Google Docs, to name a few.

I always thought unsolicited advertisement was spam. I am just more aware these days of some forums and groups being hypertensive about self advertisement, ect.

as you can see using the code for a UT3 weapon jumpshare is minimalistic and awesome.
