Ditto. In reality grades mean nothing, whether or not you can ace a test on Differential Calculus or if you fail it means nothing because in the real world you don't do tests or assignments, everything you do at school, it all means nothing.implodingMan said:Grades are worthless for determining how smart someone is. Your ability to memorize useless information is of no true concern to anyone around you. Some of the smartest people I have ever met were crap students.
As for having for or not, I say go for it. You can tell if someone is an idiot if they can't separate work time and playtime. I drink, I party, I do drugs, I play videogames, I play sports... I do all sorts of fun stuff but I know when it is necessary to actually do some work.
Haha yeah I fail as a student. I'm probably the smartest of all my friends (not to sound arrogant, but I can muck around with a comp and I know things most people just go huh?) but I get fairly average grades, B's and C's, because I procrastinate EVERYTHING, I mess around in class and go out and get a mix of drunk and high on weekends. My parents always yell at me to do more homework (I actually should be studying for a maths test tomorrow morning) and I just have no motivation. I've recently started using the term Ergophobic to describe myself (it's a fear of working or relating to work) as every time I sit down to do homework I end up on here, msn and xbox live.Haydyn said:I understand where he is coming from. I've always struggled in school because I am lazy, but I am more than smart enough to do all of the work.
