Dumb/Stupid Things You Can't Help But Enjoy

Have you ever played a 44 player Counter-Strike: Source server? Especially on a small map like Militia or Office? The entire experienced can be described like this: If your in the frontlines, you die. If you are at the very rear, you will get killed by flankers, if you exist somewhere on the map, you will get blinded by a flashbang.

The entire experience is so ridiculous ... and yet, I am utterly compelled by it. Mainly because I feel no competitive urge and can just enjoy a few minutes of absolute, total madness.

What about you guys? What are dumb things that, even though you know how stupid it is, can't help but somehow enjoy?

I loved Scary Movie 3, actually. And Charlie Sheen was a perfect person to play in that movie. He has this pseudo-seriousness to him that makes me laugh. Stupid movies, but yet, at times, really fucking funny, like when they tried to bring that dead woman back to life. XD

What you might also like (if you haven't seen it already), are the Hot Shots! movies. The second one was the best.

Ive seen parts of them but never the entire films, I really need to check if my video store has them.

I love the muppets... I cant help it, and I don't know why! I rarely actually sit down to watch them, or plan to watch them (even though I have all the series and all the films on DVD, but thats more out of principle) but I find if I see it on, or they are on in the background I am instantly captivated, and distracted... Including seseme street... And especially Muppets Treasure Island!

I like some relatively silly Pop and Punk music. I'm a big fan of silly Shonen anime like the Dragon Ball and Yu-Gi-Oh! franchises. I watch some really silly movies sometimes. And I say the word silly...

Borderlands... for the most part it's an easy game, but for me that's part of the charm. Just find playing the characters fun, so I don't care if it's not challenging me all that much.

Also have a habit of being a lemming and jumping off stuff. Dunno why, just like scenery shoot past, and it's a satisfying way of killing a character if I'm pissed off at the game.

I really love subverting the form. I think the finest example of this is Ben Folds' cover of Dr Dre's "Bitches Ain't Shit", but Chap Hop is a law unto itself - especially the "feud" between Professor Elemental and Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer.

I'm with this guy/gal, I have seen so many spoof movies and I always crack up at them, especially the Airplane Films, but I watched Scary Movie the other night and it got me laughing so much

for me it is the COD single player I know it is same everytime but they are so good at making everything feel epic if you just kind of turn off your mind, it is like playing the first rambo movie whats not to love,it is the kind of thing where I just rent it play through over the weekend fueled by flamer broiler(a fast food Japanese place near my house) hot dogs and red bull once I am done I go back to playing better more interesting games.

And Meet the Spartans. I know I'm supposed to hate it, but IMO it was a hundred times better than the pile of satan's jizz-covered pubic hair that was 300.

Dance or die?

I too often disgustingly gorge myself on the internet smorgasbord of little dumb entertaining things. Goofy rednecks laughing at amateur car jumps, girls dancing to 90's europop, atheist circle-jerk rage comics, cats being cats, Pimp My Ride, /fa/, /r/WTF, making self-aware comments to strangers who probably don't care, etc.

/fa/ is one of the most shameful on that list because people might assume I go there to vainly stare at pictures of attractive people in the hope some of their stylishness will rub off on me. Not at all. Fashion is an interesting sociological phenomenon, and to an extent, an art, and I go there to... think about that stuff.

I'm going to go read a book now.

This. I enjoyed Life Sux by Wavves. Buying it was mildly embarrassing. It reeks of whiny spoiled trend-whore adolescence, even though the symbols are supposed to be ironic.
