Dumbest Reason(s) for Hating a Game?

What are the dumbest reasons for hating a game you've heard somebody say?

"Red Dead Redemption sucks because it isn't in first-person"

"Portal sucks because you don't kill anybody in it."

I'm both ashamed and mildly creeped out that I made that exact comment (word for word) about portal earlier today.

I admit, I'm guilty of this to a degree. But it's more of hating a game because it is either exclusive to the Wii, or decided to let itself get ported to the Wii.

Too much text/dialogue. In an RPG. Where all the dialogue is skippable.

So, why are you playing RPGs when you don't like games that are text heavy or dialogue heavy? Especially when it's stated that this game is specifically harkening back to D&D and old school text based RPGs? Go play an FPS or something.

Why do you hate the Wii though? It has plenty of great games and the wagglestick doesn't negatively affect gameplay for the best of them.

Well for being a console exlcusive, or if you have not played it. I hate all turn based combat games because they put me to sleep.

Drake of the 99 dragons killed microsoft console gaming for me. Right then I renounced Microsoft games and stuck with Sony and Nintendo and havent looked back.

I just don't like the flood of "casual" games that have come out for it. No joke, I saw my daughter playing one (I don't know what it was called), and I said to my ex, "The sad part is, she plays the exact same thing as a 500KB flash game with different graphics."

I know the Wii is the weakest of the three consoles right now, but I feel the majority of games released for it really don't even try to take advantage of it's capabilities.

When someone refuses to play a game after hearing one, insignificant or at least not particularly big part of the game that they didn't like.

For christs sake, sure, as an example, I am a hater of yaoi(boy on boy manga/anime), the themes I've seen in all the examples presented to be only include things I think should not be mixed up with relationships and sex(like, physical and psycological abuse) so therefor I don't like it.

But just because I don't like yaoi doesn't mean that automatically everything that includes gay people is shit and not worth my time(this goes for real life situations as well, hell, my uncle's gay). I didn't throw away Dragon Age because you can have sex with Zevran as a male character.

Because it's commercially successfully or popular with a group of people you dislike. A games fans don't define a game. The game itself defines the game. You'd really think this would be self-evident.

Because it isn't as good as the one before it.

Just because the sequel isn't AS good doesn't mean it's not GOOD.
