Reacently I have encountered an ad for this what I assume is an up-comming game. However when I tryed finding out more things about it... It kind of got muddled, So I wish to ask a few questions that perhaps you can help me with.

1) Will not playing the other 2 hamper my gameplay?
2) Is it a title I should look foreward to?
3) Is the Co-Op only 2 players on seprate consoles

And any other various opinons or comments you wish to provide?

Thanks.

Any opinons would be appreciated....

What I've seen of it doesn't look that great. But it's an Obsidian game, which probably means it will have a great story and good core mechanics. But then...it's an Obsidian game, and as such will provide an abundance of new species for entomologists to study.

You will most likely enjoy the game more if you didn't play the first 2. My favorite part about the first 2 was the fairly unique levelling system. They've completely done away with that and made this a generic talent-tree system. I had the game pre-ordered until i learned that. I'll probably still play it at some point, and i'll probably enjoy it, but screwing with the only unique aspect of the series pissed me off, big time. If you enjoy loot-monkey games like Diablo and Borderlands, this should still be at least somewhat enjoyable.

Also, co-op should be up to 4 players. But, no, afaik, it's not split-screen. LAN or online only.

Wait, what? Really? Well, I'm out. That was my favourite part of DS2 and the only reason I've been sort of keeping an eye on #3. Thanks for the info.
