During loading times

I generally think about random things, usually pertaining to the game I'm playing at the time.

Basically I click the sticks on my control pad in and out and spin them around.

Or stroke the cat. Cat falls asleep while I'm playing the game, gets to loading screen and stroke the cat again waking it up. Repeat as necessary or as long as the cat is willing to put up with my bullshit.

I think I've just figured out why my cats have been waking me up every couple of hours every night for a fortnight. Bloody vindictive beasts!

Thanks to my SSD, long loading times are a thing of the past! Woot!

Back in the day I had 15-20 minute loading times for missions in Wing Commander 3. I wish that was an exaggeration, but it's not. I read a book.

Actually, I remember them now too. I'd go make a sandwich and watch a cartoon while the next level loaded. It was just one game, and I forget which one. It might have been Star Wars: Dark Forces. That's kind of hard to believe. Maybe our computer was just terrible.
