Dust 514

I'm surprised about how little attention Dust 514 has received. I stumbled upon it today when looking for information about GoonSwarm.

Basically, it s tie-in console based MMOFPS to the Eve universe. Fighting will take place on planets in the EVE Online universe. While a separate game, there will be interaction between the infantry of Dust 514 and the pilots of EVE Online. Also, it free (microtansaction model).

Now I don't play EVE Online, and I don't intend to, mainly because I'm a console gamer who likes shooters and is broke. What sticks out to me is the fact that a)its a console based MMO b) its a shooter/rpg/mmo and c)its free.

So have any of you heard about this? What do you think?

You do realize that since it uses the Microtransaction, it may eventually make it where one mus pay if one wants anything good at all, right? I'm talking about basically getting screwed if you don't buy crap with real money.

Although that may just be me being pessimistic.
You might as well go for it.
