Hi I could use some computer advice.

I have over the last week been building my first computer, and it has all gone rather well until I came to install an old dvd drive. The tray keeps jamming and when I do put a cd in manually it doesn't seem to want to boot, even though I checked the bios and the motherboard can see it it just refuses to read the disk. Would it possible to fix the drive easily so it works properly or should I just replace the drive with a new one, and if so can you recommend a good dvd drive in the price range of £20-£30.

Thanks

Your drive is screwed. Not worth fixing, I'd get a new one, they're so cheap. I honestly don't think it matters that much what brand you get, I've tried several brands over the years and never noticed a significant improvement in operation between one and the next. Get something that looks cool and is in your budget.
