I play a lot of D&D, and hauling my books around is really annoying, so I acquired pdf files for most of them. I bought a Velocity Cruz Reader Micro to store them and read them on, and it was okay. Then I realized something; as I read, it saves the pages to memory. But this doesn't load them faster at all, and the memory is piss poor. So I'm thinking of trading it in, and I was wondering if anyone on The Escapist knew of a similarly priced e-reader that can handle pdf files better. Color isn't an issue, just storage space and memory. It doesn't need to load the pages too fast, but it would be a plus. Any suggestions?

TL;DR I need to find the best possible e-reader/tablet to use with pdf files for a reasonable price.

I guess looking around in bookstores would be the best option. ask them about the different deals they have, how strong they are (storage/Processor) and if you can add additional memory to it like a Micro SD Card.

This is probably going to sound very stupid of me or something but i'm replying due to lack of responses to this thread...

If you just want to read ordinary PDF, what's wrong with abode acrobat reader? I use it all the time, it's free, it's standard issue software isn't it?

With my current system at least, I'm having a lot of issues downloading it. As in, it's literally impossible. So it's making my portable reading very not possible, or at least very inefficient. Believe me, Adobe Reader was my first thought, even before I discovered the memory saving issue.

That's strange- but perhaps your best approach would be to solve the compatibility issue with Abode instead of trying fancy obscure alternatives- besides, there must be plenty of help available for such widely used software.
