To be honest, just the concept of "six players wander the crowded streets of an Italian city and try to kill each other" is brilliant, and Ass Creed is brilliant anyway, so it would struggle not to be awesome.

Sounds great but I prefer the time setting from AC1 and Altair was a better character than Ezio imho.

This honestly sounds like a great game to bridge the gap between AC2 and the infamous AC3, the finale. I'd love to see how Ezio's story ends; the multiplayer is just a plus!

The only thing that kind of got to me when Ubisoft released their multiplayer trailer (both the one with and without commentary), was the fact that some of the characters displayed feats like teleportation and morphing, which I'm still not convinced makes a whole lot of sense in the Assassin's Creed setting. Bar that, the multiplayer looks exciting.

(Also, hi, I'm new D:)

This is so cool. I was (like everyone else) a little skeptical on how this was going to work. I'd still like Co-Op though. (Who wouldn't?) Also, it seems that you played the Wanted mode. Theres a video of it on Youtube that everyone has probably already seen, but I'll embed it anyway.

Does this require Live, or can you do this with bots?

If I can do this with bots, then I'll definitely get it.
If not, I'll just go buy ACII.

That looked quite ace, thanks for linking it. I wonder what over modes are going to be available, i'm still hoping for a splinter cell style level with a few assassins with small amounts of health but all the moves and tricks unlike everyone else as soldiers.

There's been an iphone version of this game for like 6 months now. Ubisoft already did this idea... but that game is insanely addictive so I'm glad to see it come to life on a serious platform.

I'm sorry, I really wanted to look forward to this, but after buying both games, the disappointment of the AC2 DRM just turned me off the whole thing.

I won't be buying Ubisoft anymore, I'll stick to steam which I can still play offline.

Ahh yes, I can hear it now. "Jim? Jim?!!?!?!?!? Oh god guys, they got him! They GOT JIM!" It would be more of a sort of objective game. Assassins have to infiltrate and kill the Templar leader, while the Templars have to defend until reinforcements arrive. Not sure how the whole "the Templar knows you are there, but you are in range for a kill" thing would work, since you are both aware of each other. It would also need to be a large map, with tons of ways to go.
