Maybe its just me, but this year's E3 looks like it might actually be awesome. I mean, just looking at the at the potential games list for this year;

And a ton freaking more. Its actually nice to be excited for an E3 for once.

I couldn't help but notice that you've got this year's Assassins Creed in there...how anyone could still be hyped for that series is beyond me, but whatever floats your boat. :p

OT: Unless details on Mass Effect 4 are revealed I really couldn't care less about this year's E3. The last big game for me this year (Arkham Knight) comes out in little over a week so I doubt there'll be any new big reveals regarding it. Beyond that the only game I'm really looking forward to in the future is the aforementioned ME4. I am a Bethesda fan, but I'm more Elder Scrolls and less Fallout, so personally I'm not too concerned about news regarding its next entry.

Unless The Last Guardian is shown, there's probably nothing that I'd really care about. Yeah, I know, it probably won't be shown but I think this is the only time I've actually seen a rumor about it being shown at an E3. XCOM 2 is cool and all, but it is more XCOM. A new Deus Ex is cool, but I don't think any Deus Ex will be as good as the 1st one. Fallout 4 would interest me if Bethesda wasn't making it, they can't write. What I want to see are new IPs that look fucking awesome, new experiences!!!

I can't really think of anything that would get me too excited. A new Dishonored game would be cool but otherwise I can't think of any titles expected to be announced I'm particularly excited for.

To quote Keith Olbermann, "We all learned something. And that is that we all learned...nothing."

I mean Assassin's Creed?! Come on man!
Even Soma, from FrictionalGames none the less, I'm withholding any and all hype until after I've played it. And I loved the shit out of Amnesia DD and AMFP!

I'm super excited for XCOM 2. Fallout 4 might be alright, but lord some of those assets look dated. It has that early 00's Gamebryo pong to it. Can't get too fussed about the latest bi-monthly installment in the Assassin's Creed series. Stopped playing GW2 years ago, a mere month or two after its release. Deus Ex 2 has promise but the trailers I've seen so far haven't been too inspiring. And I'm a PC Gamer so Halo is a non-entity to me.

I *am* super excited about XCOM 2 though, so I'm not a TOTAL wet blanket.

I'm with you. I think every conference has the potential to show off something I can get excited about.

That still won't stop me joining in the snark on Twitter though, that's also a favourite of mine.

I'm excited to hear about Fallout 4 and Heart of Thorns.

I definitely won't be watching any of the conferences though. They're just waaaay too boring.

I don?t know.
Thing is these are all games I know of. I?m more interested in games I don?t know of or haven?t seen anything about it except the title.
That?s not to say that there aren?t already announced games I would like to see in action.

Halo 5 Guardians:
Especially campaign gameplay and in-game story cut scenes would be nice.

The Last Guardian:
Any life sign wouldn?t hurt.

The Division:
Downgraded it already UbiSoft?

Any gameplay or in-game story cut scene of these would be nice as well:

DeusEx ? Mankind Divided
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Quantum Break
Uncharted 4 ? A Thief?s End

Big reveals I?m looking forward too:

Mirror?s Edge Catalyst:
The original was okay. I don?t think it was ground breaking or good as some believe but it was decent enough that an improved reboot is something worth looking forward too. And hey a game not dark and depressing by looks.

Mass Effect 4:
I love Mass Effect (1), Sci-Fi and BioWare still makes decent games. The only thing that is important to me is that it is entirely unrelated to the original Mass Effect trilogy. Just ignore the mess you made and move on.

Doom:
Hey I like my demon invasions on Mars.
So id show was Tech 6 can do. Fallout 4 can?t be all of it.

Horizon:
Killzone was generic gameplay wise but it looked good and was overall decent. Maybe cyber dinosaurs will spice things up.

StarWars game by Visceral:
Don?t be online.

Said this in a different thread, though it's still applicable I suppose.

XCOM 2's already been announced, so I doubt there will be any major details shown at E3 beyond just revealing that it exists again.

I want a new Gears of War game announced, damnit. Halo has been shit for four years and counting now, and it's definitely not going to recover. I could use the other Microsoft shooter franchise given that it did recover from a cataclysmic event (said event being Gears 3's ending).

Otherwise I will note stuff is announced at E3 after it's finished like I usually do. I doubt Rise of the Tomb Raider's going to get any actual gameplay trailers. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst isn't likely to be anything other than an updated version of Mirror's Edge. Which is nice and all I wanted when I played the broken-as-hell Mirror's Edge, but after Dying Light I don't really feel hype for the sequel to the game it improved on.

Can't say I'm seeing anything particularly special in this years E3 over any other typical year. There are games that interest me but none that having me on board the hype train (yet).

I can probably attribute this sense of caution to the fact that I've been disappointed by most big name games failing to live up to their perceived hype/potential in the past several years.

I will say this much though...if Fallout 4 puts some serious work into reworking/revitalizing it's combat system then I'll be completely on board. Find a way to make combat as fun as the world and exploration. I'm tired of open world games with combat that ranges between underwhelming (Dragon Age Inquisition) to flat out boredom (Skyrim).

Don't get hyped. Remember that games aren't the only thing these people are selling. They want you all hyped up so that you'd have an easier time swallowing some shitty business model that comes along with it, or ignoring the fact that they're games don't work properly. They give us this amazing footage in order to entice us to pre-order. E3 does a really good job at hyping. Hell, even I can still fall for it despite knowing full well what this shit is all about.

I'm definitely looking forward to it! Although a bit of a weird issue is how many things have been revealed just before E3. Were they all struggling to fit things in or something?
Though I think a few were probably accidental.

If there aren't any big unexpected ripples, I'll be watching primarily for Nintendo & GW2: Heart of Thorns.

Now, if The Last Guardian even gets mentioned, then all my fucks will shift over briefly to Sony (except for Zelda, obvs).

I'm more looking forward to the head of the publishers saying stupidly hilarious things he'll later regret. Microsoft, Ubisoft, please don't let me down.
