ANYWAY

How can we find the guy who used the Monkey's Paw to wish for Beyond Fucking Good and Fucking Evil 2 and how do we stop him?

Did Ubishit just win E3?
I heard talk of "seamless online playground", so no. Beyond Good and Evil 2 is likely to get Ubisoft bullshit shoved down its gullet.

Casual Shinji it was a far cry from controlling or moving like a plastic action figure. That would be like something from Platinum Games. From what I've played it felt far more like TLoU.
Well, I'd have to completely disagree with that. Your character lacks any real weight and he animates stiffly. The way he controls and the way the camera is positioned never gives you the feeling that you're ever in control over any situation, be it enemies, traps, or one of the numerous 'running away from shit' moments. There's always the fear of a cheapshot/insta-kill waiting right outside of your peripheral vision.

Just running around with a torch shows what a shoddy mess this game is. You might call it nitpicking, but seeing as you're using that torch quite a bit, it's riduculous nobody on the development team cared about the fact that the fire is clipping right through the guy's chest whenever you're running.
It definitely at least controlled better than RE4

I haven't played RE4 in quite a few years, but what I remember was it being much clunkier than TEW, even though it was certainly better than RE1-3.

Without even playing it's clear TEW has more fluid animations, more character weight, and smoother controls. Was RE4 more polished for its time? Possibly, but that generation was also quite a bit simpler.

Guys, guys, guys. There's one thing we need to keep in mind: E3 is a carnival of lies. 70% of this stuff you're getting hyped up for will be vaporware, and 25% will see "graphical downgrades" or removed gameplay mechanics.

I don't think we're going to agree on this, friend.

The bad guys in Far Cry 5 are part of a sinister, homicidal cult.

Why on earth do you consider that the counterpart to "a leftist group"?

Must EVERYTHING be politicized? Holy fuckballs.
It was politicised the moment somebody started fantasying their enjoyment of killing "Red necks" and not "A sinister homicidal cult".

If you wanna be happy about killing crazed cultists, sure, go ahead. If you wanna be happy about killing poor white people from southern states of America, that's getting pretty political.

So I just want to say to all those who may have actually gotten hyped about BGAE2...

They said it's been 15 years since the first one.
Remember the LAST time there was a 15 year gap between games?

And how THAT turned out?
Difference is all we saw of Beyond Good and Evil 2 the last time was a cinematic, no gameplay trailer in 2008:

We saw how Duke Nukem Forever was being developed on, including gameplay footage, over the years.

We don't talk about Duke Nukem Forever.

Who cares what someone is killing in a video game, as long as they're well written/realized antagonists? Film and literature have brought us everything from crazed housewives to urbane terrorists to demonic children as enemies, why should games be any different? Are "rednecks" an oppressed group that we need to be culturally sensitive to?

It's not like Ubisoft is killing ACTUAL poor white people in Montana. It's a fucking video game.

Funny, when Hatred tried to do the same thing, people kept trying to get it banned.

Yeah. Easily ruffled, pearl clutching sensitives doing the exact same thing you appear to be unironically doing right now.

Hatred also had the double whammy of looking like a complete piece of controversy baiting trash, so everyone was lining up to take runs at it.

What about Hatred had a "well written/realized antagonist?"

Also, Hatred's plot had you playing as a psychopath killing innocent people. Far Cry tends to have you playing as psychopaths as well, but still killing other psychopaths. It's not a 1:1 comparison.

So... Shadow of the Colossus remake is a thing. Don't know how to feel about that. It looks nice and fancy, but it's not done by Team Ico. I like Blue Point, they do a great job at remasters, but a remake..?

Well That was anti-climactic, It wasn't bad it just seemmed kind of abrupt, I expected one more game at least.

The lineup for me right now is Bethesda<EA<Ubsoft<Sony<Microsoft. I guess we'll see what Nintendo does
