Can't say I've had a letdown this E3. There were plenty of games and all looked good, lots that I was looking forward to and many that I didn't even see coming (Far Cry 3 anyone?). I've still got a pile of trailers, gameplay videos and info to go through and I'm already happy enough, so that's a damn good sign

I was thinking the same thing. They say Half Life's not over, then announce they're no longer making episode 3, then the Portal 2 reference...

Anyways, I was disappointed by the lack of Deus Ex content. I'm guessing the 12 hours that was leaked kind of ruined that happening.

Missed seeing the new Mechwarrior, but other than that my expectations were filled. Mass Effect and Skyrim news were good, Blizzard is apparently above the common E3, since they have their own show now, so I knew I wouldn't hear about Diablo 3.

i think what most let me down is finding out Skyrim would be nothing more then a console port for the PC, which is a bit depressing that they dont even care about their original fanbase anymore.

i was a bit upset that we didn't actaully learn anything from the few titles i was following. such as mass effect 3: the showed us that there are new up close melay weapons from the omni blade, that it will be kinect compatible, the basic plot of the game, that the combat will be more fluid, all of which we already knew!
and AssCreed: Rev. we learned that were will be tons of bombs, that ezio is old now, that desmond is trapped in the black room, all of that had already been announced!
Is it just that e3 is about first looks at already known stuff? or did all their firepower get tragically leaked previously?

yeah mass effect was really....meh. it just didnt wow me like mass effect 2 did, maybe its because they havent done an engine upgrade like they did with mass effect 2 (making it feel like a brand new game rather then just a sequel)

While there were a couple of titles at E3 that I'm excited about, I was disappointed at Ubisoft's conference that they didn't mention any other details of Beyond Good & Evil 2. I'm also bummed out that the Last Story and Valkyria Chronicles 3 wasn't announce for the US.

The microsoft conference. Where do I even start? First, it heavily focused on kinect. Second, the two releases that were the most hyped were not only kinect games, but kid focused ones. A disney park game and a sesame street game made by tim schafer. Yeah, they definitely didn't waste his talent there, did they? The other four were fable, which I don't even care about, minecraft, which is actually pretty awesome, and two halo games, one of which is just halo 1 with an optional graphics update. Don't get me wrong, I kind of enjoy halo games, but they're just not my favorite games.

And then we get to the non-gaming stuff which practically dominated. The first one is the stupidest one. Live television. Dude, i'm playing my xbox ON MY TELEVISION! If I want to see what's on TV, I just hit the TV/Video button. Simple. There is no need for this feature. The other things were kind of cool, like getting youtube on my xbox. Pretty cool. But overall, the microsoft conference was just plain crap. Modern Warfare 3 announcement was cool to watch though. I mean, I won't be getting the game, but it was cool to watch.

I was hoping with all my might for Jak and Daxter collection

once again, my hopes and dreams are shot down and destroyed. . . well, now that Uncharted 3 is almost complete, maybe they can finally get on it. Fingers crossed!

I heard a rumour, which may well be completely unfounded, that Naughty Dog might go back to the J&D franchise once they are finished with Uncharted. That sort of thing usually kick starts a HD collection of the trilogy... Or quadrilogy. Or quintilogy, if you count Jak X. Hell they could even throw "Daxter" in there too.

But yeah, that'd be sweet =D

I was disappointed that Valve didn't show up. It's starting to get a little bit ridiculous now. I realise I have no right to complain of course, Ep.3/HL3 is their game and they can take as long as they like, but it'd be nice to see something of what they are doing, you know?

Star Wars the old Republic. That trailer was awesome. Too awesome. There is very little chance that the final game will match the excitement that trailer had.

iam sorry i have an Xbox and i liked the halo games but halo4 wtf? they had the story all wrapped up (more or less)at the end of three, and who are we going to kill the Flood?! Just seems like another game to make Microsoft all that more rich.

Halo 3 had an epic cliffhanger for an ending. The main character essentially stuck in limbo is not a conclusive ending.

"Who are we going to kill the Flood" is not a coherent sentence...

Every game that any company releases at any point exists to make them richer. They are businesses.

Yeah, I'm with this guy. This was the best year for software that I've seen.

It may be that people are just getting extremely talented at making trailers, but this was some of the best ones I've seen. Games that I wasn't excited for (like Prey 2 and yep, Far Cry) looked damn good.
