Well Having a free day I settled down this afternoon to watch some of E3. I was quite enthusiastic to watch the Microsoft conference for many of the upcoming titles, one of the ones I was rather keen to watch had to be MGS : Rising.
I have to say this looks like a refreshing new scene to the Metal Gear franchise. I have been a fan of the series, however, yet enjoying MGS 4 I found it to be a lil' too much cut scene for my liking. Today after watching the scenes shown I became immediately drawn to it, this looks like my kinda game! Lots of blood and dismemberment and the weirdly awesome ability to seem to be able to cut through..well anything!
The story's to the Metal Gear games in my opinion have always been strong to the main consoles, and this looks to be another strong game. With some of today's games lacking in story and length I believe this game will cancel out both of those downfalls with compelling interest.
Instantly this game appealed to me purely as the demo seem'd to contain the things I love, especially the pointless melon cutting. (Blame the Fruit Ninja app for iTouch)
