Ooh, look at that, the lights are doing fancy things, oh, and there's hot girls prancing around in hardly any clothing, now web browsers talk to you, yup, now some sales figures, oh and it wouldn't be E3 without Usher promoting his new album -_-

Over the years it's more obvious that with each E3 we hear less about what we are watching it for, games, and more about just about everything else the world has to offer, lollipops and candy.

Do you think E3 is simply trying to expand its audience for the better or do you think it is slowly alienating its gaming fans by deviating away from the topic that really matters? Games!

It was Usher which was the last straw for me, he used up god knows how long to dance, yeah I get that he's promoting the game a little, but I'd prefer to see what's new about the game rather than just his new dance moves. Spend time talking about games, not celebs.

Yeah the event has been going that way for a while...

Thats why i dont bother and just get the important information from a gaming site. Even better i can just skip the things i dont care about ^_^

If you're really concentrated on the games themselves, it's been fairly obvious that E3 has not brought the goods for years now. The quality varies from year to year and company to company, but the many other trade shows throughout the year are almost always better when it comes to showcasing the actual games.

Yeah, but to its credit, at least those shows were somewhat more about games, even if they were on kinect and move etc.

Now we have 20 mins of talk about a browser, 10 mins for usher to dance, another 20 mins for sports celeb number 143 to come and tell us just how great it is to see his face in HD on an xbox, every drip of sweat streaming down his face right there in your living room......wow.....just wow.

Oh yes, and the measly 10 minutes collectively dedicated to that other stuff...what's it called again? Its not important these days...erm....oh yes, games.
