I'm surprised. I've never seen two such underwhelming conferences in a row.

The only really exciting thing from this conference is the Irrational game they hinted at for the Vita.

Also they only announced maybe five games that we weren't told about already before hand and three of those games we really probably saw coming.

Microsoft shot themselves in the foot by accidentally revealing EVERY NEW TITLE they had to show just an hour before the conference in which they would be revealed.

It really is up to Nintendo to have some big surprises.

You saw the two-image TV thing coming? That certainly surprised me.
well yeah that technology from sony was already known(saw the sketches from the patent and all)
and some monitor is not really something i would expect at a gaming conference anyway

let's just all hope that sony prepared the big guns for gamescom and TGS
and tightens their secrecy so that we'll really get some surprises

Sly Cooper? In the words of The Murray; Radical! That "different image" tv thing is pretty freaking sweet too.

I have to say that this was a pretty good conference. Probably a "B" in my book.

PSN Apology: I like how Trenton talked with us directly, puts a face on the faceless corporation. I appreciate the apology, good way to start the conference by addressing the elephant in the room.
CinemaNow and Stuff: Don't give a crap about that, give me the games.
Uncharted 3: Purty.
Resistance 3: Equally purty.
HD ICO/SotC: Mmmmm, delicious.
NBA through Move crap: Don't care, move one por favor.
Starhawk: Looks really interesting, loved Warhakw when I first got it so I expect good things from it.
Sly 4: Hell, about damn time! I'm playing through the Sly collection and it's a blast of nostalgia.
Bioshock Infinite: Mmmmmm, tastes like diabetes! Levine is one of the few developers I truly respect, so if he's backing motions controls it'll probably bring something nice.
SSX: About fucking time! Fuckin' loved the SSX games.
NGP/Vita: Looks interesting, though I doubt I will buy it. The games look interesting, and the back touch pad thingamajigger could be used in interesting ways. Also, $250 is a great sweet spot for this handheld, much easier to swallow than "Five Hundred n' Nienty Nien YOU ESS DOLLARS!"

Also, loved the "Ridge Racer" jab that Trenton gave to Kaz at the end, very cute :3

Overall, good conference. Nintendo will probably "win" E3 tomorrow, but it's looking like a good E3.

3D 3D 3D! oh and 3D!

Ken Levine said motion controls were stupid. Sony waved a pile of money at him. Ken Levine says motion controls will be awesome in Bioshock Infinite.

hmm...

I wonder if they wave more money at him he will release Infinite for PS3 exclusively and take back everything he said about the PC being the best platform.

Also... Vita? I mean... I guess it's better than NGP, but it's still pretty stupid. Sounds like an energy drink. I wonder how stupid Project Cafe's real name will turn out to be? What's with these incredibly stupid names?

I was more pleased than I thought I would be. Great apology that was right up front. I did miss Kevin B this year but I think given the recent events, having a smug spokesman on the stage would have turned a few stomachs.

Very interested in Sony's move to try and get more adopters for 3D. I wonder how much money they are losing on the 3D tv bundle. A very bold move that I didn't see coming.

I was impressed with the Vita's presentation. Love the price- groaned when I saw they tethered it to ATT. Noticed I wasn't alone with my consternation either. The Mod Nation use of the dual touch screens made me smile a mile wide- a great intuitive UI idea. I'm going to pick up MNR to check out what other ideas they have packed in there. Uncharted looked amazing and I'm eager to try the touch screen as well. With my disability there are days that using tiny buttons to game with just aren't going to happen so having the slower option to have Drake crawl/climb with a finger swipe works well for me. Little Big Planet looks like even more fun and again- I'm eager to see what they've done with the dual touch.

The Move still hasn't sold me but I'm coming around, I think. The 150 bundle will most likely be the tipping point. It's a good deal and we get a game as well.

All in all, not a bad presser. I've certainly seen worse today.

Oh man, I need that tv. I play co-op with my sister all the time, and now they tell me that we can both get the whole screen. It's magic, right?

Apology: I have to give credit to Sony for addressing the elephant in the room here. God knows that they have had a tough time recently, so the fact that they were willing to address the issue head on as oppossed to ignoring it is certainly worth something. That said, while I like that they are offering a free Streaming service, whether or not I get to actually get to use it is all based on the fickle whims of Canada's availability of services.

Uncharted 3: I haven't really been paying attention to any coverage of this game, yet I didn't pay attention with the previous two either and I still found them to be well made and really enjoyable games. I doubt that this one will dissapoint.

Resistance 3: If this will be closer in design to the first one as oppossed to 2, then I'll definitely give this a chance. That said, if this account of it is like what I've seen before, there isn't much to tell what this is really going to be like. I'll probably wait till release to see if its worth it.

HD Remakes: GoW doesn't really interest me, but the Team Ico remastered? Sign me up! SotC was an amazing game, one I'd more be more than willing to play again, and it would be nice to finally experience Ico!

3D Display: Whether or not I'd get this, I will say that it is certainly interesting! It would be really nice to stop Screen Watching, but hopefully if it works the way I think it does it would also mean that everyone has an equal and properly sized screen to play on!

NBA 2k12: Sports games aren't really my thing, and I doubt they ever will be. Maybe this interests a sports game fan, in which case all the more power to you.

Medieval Moves: Hearing about this it almost sounds like something from last year's E3 as something to introduce consumers to the technology, which is kinda hard to do seeing as how the Move has been out for almost a year now. Color me uninterested here on this one.

InFamous 2: Just played the demo the other day, and I think I'll pick it up. I my wait a bit, but it seems like it may be worth my time and money.

LBP2: Perhaps then would be the perfect time for me to actually pick the game up.

Starhawk: No real opinion here. Could go either way for me really into interested or not interested.

Sly 4: Oh god yes! Not only does this mean another Sly game is coming out, but with 2 famous PS2 IP's now on the PS3, won't be long till we see a new Jak game as well!

Vita: I'll still have to wait on the games, but I'll say this: 250-300 for a handheld/phone sounds like a reasonable price, something I thought was almost an unheard phrase at Sony. Of course, it also remains to be seen if we Canadians can get a better deal with the 3G provider

I didn't see Sly coming!
( Though the fact I didn't see a master thief coming in itself is actually no surprise. )

Truly though, there weren't many surprises at all really. Still...Sly 4! :) :) :) :) :) :)

No huge surprises but was glad they mentioned the "outage" at the start and did not try to make a lame ass cover up for it.

That double screen thing sounds cool but i would like to see how it works before getting too excited

Oh good we get to pay an extra $100 for the PSVita for living in Europe. I'll stick to my iPhone thanks.

They better bloody give some info on Kingdom Hearts 3. It's been 5 years since KH2 came out and the hype will slowly die if SE dont pop out some damn info on it soon.
aww you think Square is making KH3 that's cute :')
THEY'LL MAKE IT! YOU'LL SEE! YOU'LL FUCKING SEE!

You'll... *Cries*

But yeah, they've pretty much dropped it for crappy FF games like 14 and spin-offs of KH that no one likes (Minus BBS)

Isn't the iPhone even more? At least here in the US it is. Also $50 or so a month. So honestly it's not that bad in the long run.

I don't have an issue with the price, it's the fact that European customers are charged more than US customers ($100 more in fact). I might have considered getting an PS Vita before but until they sort out their pricing I will stick my IPhone I already own.
