This game will only be good if it has a Cajun Roadblock whose special ability is to throw everyone Hella-far.

I dunno how GI-Joe went in your house, but thats how it went in mine. And thats why this won't work- playing pretend with your G.I. Joes (and don't you commies pretend you didn't) was a very personal thing. And in MAH house, Roadblock could lift and throw cars.

I must be one of the only people of my generation that didn't give a crap about GI Joe when it first came out, but I'm seeing even less appeal in this movie/game.

I know that human beings aren't perfect, and IGN is riddled with typos, but I sure have been catching a lot of mistakes while not even looking for them recently. Your copy-editors need keener eyes.

G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra: The Videogameame Based on the Movie Based
Is there a better way for me to point these out? It seems like it'd be easy to miss a single user's posts...

I absolutely love the idea of a game that lets players "re-create and re-live the greatest moments from the film, cartoon series and action figure toy line." It?s bloody brilliant. I know as a kid I loved playing with the toys, it?s a cool thought to be able to do it 20 years later on a video game. It?s to damn bad its EA that has it. I?m afraid, I?m very afraid.

*sigh* Another wonderful concept that will be fumbled with until it is released months before all of the models and rendering had enough time to be tested. :_(

Well...it might not suck that bad...*sigh* I'm not fooling anyone, bad story, that will be rushed to coincide with the movie release. Best we can hope for is a swift and painless death.

And what's worse is it'll be made a hit by impressionable 7 year olds that have never even heard of G.I. Joe and that will worship the movie and its merchandise D:

How will that work? No one ever dies in G.I. Joe, ever.
Yes, and no one ever died in Transformers either, but there were many deaths in the movie.

my child hood rose from the dead with hope in its hollow eye sockets, only to have a shotgun held by EA pointed at its zombie head....the only question is: is the gun loaded?

The title is pretty much a shot in the foot, since if the game is crap then it is the definition of an American game...

I'm having a hard time thinking of any good games that are made based off a movie. So sadly enough, this DEFINITELY doesn't feel like a trend-breaker. Especially since it's EA.
Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64?
Touche.
In many ways, Goldeneye 64 was no more related to Goldeneye the movie than I am related to Mila Jovovich. Bond never had a gun besides his pistol and the odd case of "I picked up an enemy AK" syndrome. Some levels, most of the plot, and many of the characters were never even in the film. I will concede that Goldeneye 64 was a wicked game with light ties to the movie, but it's not a game adaptation of the movie.
True, very true, I never for a moment thought it was a 100% replication of the movie, but it *was* fun. Most tie ins can't even fun to play.

I'm sorry, I'm still beating my head against the desk from the title of this article.

I'm tempted to go off and start quoting moviebob on his whole 'videogaming patriotism' overthinker...
