That's why I'm confused about everyone ripping on them for saying he's the only one... we're all nerds here... we've all scene aliens ... we should know how it goes lolMarq said:Well, it's pretty obvious that Isaac is the hands-on expert at necromorph neutralising. That's why he's brought back to tell the kill team what's what. That's how shit works. Aliens, anyone?
If I read right, it sounds as though Isaac becomes the head of a squad, though I like your thinking, gets dispatched to either clear out a colony or rescue someone from a colony or ship, and the ship they came in on gets infected or something.Sennz0r said:Yes, that does sound logical...
Still wouldn't it be more efficient to train these space marines in aiming for the extremities rather than to send one guy out there who -and I'm assuming- has never before killed anyone before the events that took place in the Ishimura? It makes sense to send Isaac out there alone again from an atmospheric point of view (there's nothing scary about facing aliens with 5 other guys right behind you), but from a strategic point of view it doesn't make sense.
Now if they would make it so that Isaac would be stuck somewhere again, completely alone except for when he gets to a comm. station or something so he can communicate very briefly with his superiors to find out what to do next I can get behind that a lot faster than an engineer being dropped off somewhere Halo-style to kill Necromorphs only to be picked up after.
All I'm saying is that when they say "Isaac calls the shots" it sounds like he won't be stranded somewhere facing extremely high odds of death (which is what kind of set the mood for the first game). He would rather be shooting it up in an area comparable to The Parish in Left 4 Dead 2, which sounds a hell of a lot less scary to me.
I hope I'm wrong and they find a way to make the sequel a lot more frightening than its predecessor. Something along the lines of he does get dropped in some desolate area filled with Necromorphs only to be picked up after, but he just doesn't get picked up.
I didn't put it in spoilers as that's already pretty much given away in one of the trailersTheTygerfire said:theSovietConnection said:you are the only one that survives.
God, spoilers much?

Given how many necromorphs i've beaten to death with my bare hands so far, I figure MY Isaac can handle one dead chick.Sennz0r said:BaldursBananaSoap said:What about where his dead girlfriend attacks him at the end? There's a reason we put all that in spoilers.TsunamiWombat said:Given how many necromorphs i've beaten to death with my bare hands so far, I figure MY Isaac can handle one dead chick.Sennz0r said:BaldursBananaSoap said:What about where his dead girlfriend attacks him at the end?
