As far as i know, a lot of people are really pissed about EA screwing over Pandemic Studios, so i say, a EA boycott is in order!

Yea, that'll work, until they release another game that millions of people buy. Seriously though, the average gamer could care less about studios and what goes on behind the scenes. They just like to play games. Maybe a petition will work?

OP: It would be pointless, they will make money regardless of how many of us boycott them, because anyone who plays games and does not go on forums will not hear about the boycott.

We don't need to boycott them. Their business work has been terrible as of late, and their stock has been in a decline for weeks. I've been actually making money short selling ERTS stock, and you should too. No boycott necessary, and a couple extra dollars to buy real games.

Seeing as how they made a 1.08 billion loss [http://www.vg247.com/2009/05/05/ea-loses-over-1-billion-in-fiscal-2008/] last year I doubt they'd like see out revenue vanish. As to the OP, Activision are still the evil money grubbing corporation that every one loves to hate, so jump on that bandwagon, though I do sense your trying to make an ironic point about all of the "boycotts" going on recently.

Kind of a pity, Pandemic had finally created a game that (I think) looks pretty neat.

I know it's kind of defeatist to think this, but I personally feel that it would take an act if divine intervention for enough people to boycott a major corporation and have it work. Why? What is new about EA doing what they did to Pandemic? Please, your boycotts are a nice gesture but all in all they are useless. EA's head honchos could give a crap what we all think. Same for Activision and Ubisoft and all the other huge corporations. Besides, they have too many great games coming out that I want to buy. Dead Space 2, Rage, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age:Origins, and Star Wars: The Old Republic are all to awesome to pass up for some useless gesture of a boycott. So good luck on that. I wish you well.
