I don't buy any games anymore that are in any way related to EA. Also I deleted my EA account.

The only good thing about EA is that I could cancel my account via email. Blizzard wanted me to actually send them a letter.

I'll boycott them right up until I see whether they've ruined Dead Space 3, if so, then it's a lifetime ban.

I already stopped buying EA games after Spore.

They're a bunch of twats who are a shame for the games in general and the human population.

If everyone waited for pre-owned, there would never be a pre-owned game on the shelf.
There will always be games bought new. I don't think everyone will actually participate in the boycott. Just hopefully enough to cut down on EA's profits to the point where they realize that they've fucked up.
Realize they fucked up? This is EA. If they make poor business decisions and the consequences bite them in the ass, they either pretend said decisions were good ones and the consequences are nonexistent, or blame their low or negative profits on piracy. Riccitielo will stand at a podium at a press conference and just make shit up. They have a politician's (or, for that matter, a Turian Councilor's) capacity for denial and self-delusion.

No. EA doesn't learn, nor does it ever leave its fantasy world and do business in reality. They don't have to, because people want their ME3 NOW, and would prefer to keep getting screwed rather than wait a few weeks. Me, I'm more patient. I figure if I've been planning to get a game for 2 years already, what's another few weeks if I want to get it for half price? It might also be because I have more going on in my life than new game releases.
