Was browsing WolframAlpha, and stumbled across this http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=Electronic+arts . In the fundamentals it says Net Profits: -"749 million. Anyone wanna enlighten me? I have a very lapse grasp on markets and money in general, but im sure that means EA is in debt, right?

That doesnt necessarily mean they are in debt. They haven't made a profit this year. Now if their operating costs were higher than the Income then they would be in trouble. The net profits are whats left after you: Income-operating costs. That means the OC is higher than whats coming in. To combat this they would cut jobs and studios (RIP Pandemic)

Thats a simple explanation, there is a lot more to it though.

God damn these numbers are high! If they brought in 3.5 billion, well...would be interested to know what they spent it all on this year...maybe they secretly bought pokemon, or a small country.
