i'll shit my pants laughing if they try to include some kind of x-wing racing mode.

i was crazy excited about this game awhile ago, but i'm already over it, and no longer fall into the "Cautiously Optimistic" camp.

I still don't really get the upset over lack of space battles.

I mean, sure, I'd like them too, but do people not remember Battlefront 2 space battles or something? They were just land battles with more destruction oriented goals, more fighters, and a dependency on transports.

You could get the exact same gameplay in a land battle with the right game mode and a map with islands, chasms, or just long distances. I'm not saying it was bad, (although if often was) but beyond the theme it was barely space battles and it's no great loss.

Besides that, Battlefront as a series is a shooter. It doesn't need space battles, get over it.

Exactly, the space battle weren't 0-G conditions in Battlefront 2, you could be upside down, when there is no upside down in space at all, everything was leveled and it shouldn't of been!

On land it makes perfect sense, let them work the kinks with a new game rather than fuck it up from the get go.

Especially in the space battles how unimportant dogfights were. You were generally wasting time if you got caught up in a dog fight because the objectives were worth far more points. The space battles of battlefront were not what made the game, I still enjoy battlefront 1 a lot and that didn't have space battles either.

2 People with at least half a brain on a page discussing an EA game...This is a sign i tell you!

Would i of liked space battles, sure, everyone would. But i'd prefer it even more if DICE took there time to figure out the kinks of the game, perfect it (somewhat) and then include Space battles later when they have figured out ground and aerial Combat. Space battles open up a whole new can of worms which would need a lot of time and resources to get right.

Agreed. From the flying I've seen all the fighters go faster, which would make dogfighting better but this game already has free dlc announced (not that anyone remembers) so we could easily get space battles that really get the essense of star wars right further down the line.

I guess the weirdest thing is how divided people are about a game that isn't even out for another 3 months. Just don't buy it day 1 and wait and see.

Captcha: Danish robot dancers. Well that would be interesting dlc.

In a year or two I will be playing a much better Star Wars game than this heap of trash. It's called Star Citizen. And playing it lets you thumb your nose at EA, as they turned down the original pitch.
