I guess thats one way to force people to buy the newer games which are mostly roster updates that could be handled as annual DLC with a actual new title every 3 or 4 years if EA wasnt so damn greedy.
Possible but then I doubt the sporting bodies that sell EA the licenses would like that. EA may be evil but I'm sure even they are not stupid enough to not see the benefit of dlc roster updates instead of full releases. However I sure the likes of FIFA, The NFL and NBA have gotten used to the £40 price tag on products they own the licenses to. They could always go to someone else with the licenses if EA doesn't want go with yearly releases anymore. Then how would EA pay for all those expensive COD clone flops :p

I hated EA before it was cool!

Well, pre-westwood at least..
Sorry but as a Bean fan I just lost it when I read your line while starting at your avatar and it just fits far too well =P.

OT: Alas this is the course most games with multiplayer components will run and end up meeting since the next best game comes out and over time a few dozen that the last few end up not as favourable as they once were.

Which is pretty much why I'm not opting for much multiplayer these days let alone the DLC it may come with because at the end of the day the money I would spend on Multi would only be limited while I could have infinite fun with Singleplayer or even co-op with friends still willing to game.
