I remember a few flashes of me sitting down and watching my family members play Zelda 2 and Super Mario Bros 2 on the original NES from time to time. I can't really remember how old I was at the time, though. I'm guessing late 1 to early 2. And I distinctly remember the time me and my dad got the SNES at Toys R Us. The first game I ever remember actually playing (playing defined as accomplishing something) would be Super Mario World. I was 3. I dont think I beat it until I was 4, though. The first game I ever played start-to-finish was Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I was 4. I played it non-stop, because that was the time-period where I was super proud of being able to read things, and I'd drag my parents in to show them I can read the text. And to help with the tougher puzzles.

the next day (I think) I got a PS1 of my own (yes yes, this isnt as far back as all you NES players, but i was about 4) ^^,

Demo 1: all i ever used this for was playing 2 games. This weird one where you had to avoid rolling cubes [which was awesome] and a game in which you controlled a pirate ship and had to collect treasure . I think they were called:
1: intelligent qube
2: Overboard

my dad gave me his atari when I was really young. Pacman, space invaders, and that terrible track and field type game that was so tragic because you can't tell what is going on half the time but it was brilliant anyways.

And tetris on my gameboy pocket. I got one of those dodgy 32 games in one games you get from Spain which is actually 4 games and is a lie. But it had tetris

Haha really? Nobody ever knows what I'm going on about when I mention it. I must have only been 8, and my dad went back to the store in Spain and was like 'Oh no no no, they are all like that' >_>;

Mine was contra 1 for the nes followed by a really glitchy version of Super mario bros on one of those 190 games in 1 carts. It was called "Fancy Super Mario Bros" really really screwy game.

I can remember finishing the first Kirby game when I was two. I hated that final boss.

Probably the original Doom, Lemmings, a Pac-Man clone our old 486 had, or some ancient Apogee stuff. There were also some archaic adventure games like Hugo III: Jungle of Doom that I never got far in. Good times. As far as console games go, it'd have to be something on my aunt's Super Nintendo, possibly Super Mario All-Stars, but my first-ever non-handheld console was a Sega Genesis. I kind of missed out on all the Mario stuff until the Nintendo 64 days, after which I became a hardcore devotee to them and never really looked back.

I remember that quite well too. Also setting up millions of pipe bombs everywhere then blowing your ass up. Classic game.

I remember getting an Atari system, but it was wasn't the 2600, for Christmas when I was 3 but all I remebered is that it broke right away. I never understood that but all I remeber is getting a NES Buddle(which came with two controllers, a zapper, a power pad, and a cartage with Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, and Track and Field) the following year. Now that I'm older and know more about games that were out in the 80's, I can say that the atari system I had was the 5200 since the controllers broke almost instantly.
