Early christmas thread.

I am at work , and they started playing christmas songs in the store already, which means a month and a half of the same christmas song on loop. So my question is: why are there no new christmas song? And by new i don't mean old songs sung by new people . i mean completly new christmas song . There is new music about everything known to man , but christmas song haven't changed in like forever and a day .

So what do you think, do we need new song ? Do you like the same old songs we hear year after year?

I think it's because everyone's already familiar with the big Christmas hits, no one's interested in a new song.

Besides, do you really want another Christmas song? The most recent one I heard was Lady Gaga's God awful Christmas song...

I don't even like listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. Why can't the stores just wait until December? God, this is such a greedy world...

Playing Christmas songs have nothing to do with greed.

OT: I'm sure there's a new song or two out there, somewhere. While digging through Last.fm for Christmas songs I stumbled upon many of which I had no idea existed (though most were terrible anyway).
