I know this is early, but I figure most people should know by this time what kind of problems they have. I'm hoping this thread doesn't get recycled and I figure at the end of January I'll try to bump this thread with results of my own resolution and others if they want to update. And please, no dick answers like "I'm perfect therefore need no change" and other answers of that sort. Say what you wish to change, and how you will change it or what you plan to do instead of that activity.

Mine is to play less games and start practicing my instruments again.

2. choose between finishing college or finding an apprenticeship
3. find time to get better at games, instead of watching others playing them :(

Mine's a sort of re-commitment to being smoke free. I quit almost a year ago, but there were slips throughout the year. So for 2009, I'm resolving to be slip-free.

Pre- College

1) Continue my martial arts training (Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts)
2) Get into a meaningful relationship.
3) Go back to high school for second semester to take a class where I work at a TV station as preparation for my college course in Radio Broadcasting
4) Get a six-pack
5) Grow a non-patchy beard
6) Make the most of my time before college and hang out with friends as much as I can, so long as it doesn't interfere with training/work.

Post-College
1) Work to achieve my goal of becoming a radio announcer
2) Get into a martial art (possibly Kung Fu, or Tai Chi as those are the ones that interest me the most out of the martial arts that are available in the town where I'm going to college)
3) Get into a meaningful relationship (if goal 2 from Pre-college is achieved and it lasts, then I may be looking at a long distance relationship. Otherwise, I've got to find me a new girl, and what better place to do so than college?)
4) Get a part-time job to slow down the inevitable downward spiral that my bank account is going to suffer

Well one of the ones that come to my head for my personal life would be:
-Play less games, if not cut-off almost completely
-Plan my days more thoroughly
-Not go on here so often :)

I also have a whole huge list for my business, but I think I will keep that to myself.

To...solve my problems in life, and ultimately better myself. Oh, and to develop my relationship with my girlfriend. Oh...how could I forget?

World Domination.

No offense at all...but this made me laugh.

Hehe...'squishy'...

But I hear you on the martial art thing! I'm kind of the opposite! I'm out of shape the other way. Too darn skinny. But there is a Krav Maga gym near my place that I would love to go to. All I need...is money.

Resolution #2: Get more money.

I'm going to try to drink less and start working out again, and I'm going to try and not slack my way through my last semester at school.

1. Stop drinking whiskey at inappropriate moments.
2. Not just lurk, but post too.
3. Try not to be an ass.
4. Get a girl. A very certain girl.
5. Stop drinking whiskey at inappropriate moments.
6. Work on my language.
7. Finally replace the light bulb in my desk lamp.
8. Read more.
9. There is NO resolution 9.
10. Stop drinking whiskey at inappropriate moments.

I don't really get the whole new years resolution thing. I just don't see why it has to be a new year before you decide to change something about yourself for the better. I know people who have waited until new years to start going on a diet etc. and it all seems a tad pointless.

Hasn't stopped me from making them though.

I think my one for this year is to lose a bit of weight. I'm not fat really, just a little flabby around the edges and I'd like to sort it out by joining my University gym or something.

To stop making a new years resolution.

If that fails, then it'll be to concentrate more on my work and stop being so lazy.
