What do you expect from Earth 20 years from now? A new Golden Age? Everything going as normal? Everything turining wrong? Or somewhere in between?

Here's my good prediction: If we haven't lost use of oil, we'll have a lot more windmills and solar panels around Earth. And hopefully we'll start sending people to Mars and Earth.

Apollo 11 to 1(7?) wasn't just for show...

Bad Prediction: The weather looks nice for October, 28, 2029! With a nice warm 22 degrees Celsius today, with the tempratures rising to 30 by Rememberance Day!

It'll all still be the same, just some newer designs of TVs, PDAs and the like. Maybe a more efficient fuel source having been found out by China of all nations.

But in the end, we'll all still be bickering and Africa will still be a mess by majority. Although I see Somalia doing well for itself.

The world will be continuing down its dark path of self destruction. There will more death, more war, and more pointless paperwork. I have little faith humanity will survive long enough to make it to Mars.

You know NASA is starting plans to put a special engine on manned spacecraft that can take 39 days to reach Mars from Earth? Or maybe you knew and you meant it.

OT: What people said before. Nothing else.

Who knows. A lot can happen in 20 years. Though I imagine there won't be many significant changes.

It'll be exactly like today but with more flat screens and even more rounded surfaces (cars will probably look like spheres or eggs on wheels by then).

I think that society will collapse, leaving us in a rather steam-punk world, BUT some factions will still have nuclear weapons. Fucking awesome.

Well, whatever happens, It'll be weird be asked near halloween what to dress up for for the 2000's. Cause sure, there's the 70s, and the 80s, but eventually, people will want to dress up like what we dress like now. Gotta wonder what they'll be wearing.

USA won't be an economical might anymore (as if they were now, but now they still can benefit from good opinion). Consumed by crysis and debt. Oh and there may be another crisis when people will realize that pumping billions in companies "too big to fall" is not working and those companies still suck.

Apart from that - stronger unifying of Europe.

And last but not least - big immigrant problem. Too many people with completely diffrent worldview, not wanting to integrate into the society but fighting for their "rights". Sooner or later people will realize the problem and will take action. Maybe violent, meybe not so violent.

We aren't going anywhere :/ With USA, the biggest player in space exploration facing tremedous debt related problems they will be out from the race. And it will take a long time for anyone else to catch up.

Generally i think there will be a big change in the next 20, maybe 40 years.
