Like some crazy stuff out of a bad SyFy movie special, an earthquake struck Ontario and Quebec, Canada earlier today. It rated 5.5 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was somewhere Northeast of Ottawa with tremors being felt in Montreal and as far away as Boston.

Now I know what a lot of you must be thinking, since WHEN has there ever been a fault line in Ontario? Well apparently there are several small faults near Lake Eerie and a fairly active one under the St. Lawrence, so there you have it.

JigaWHAT?

Is everyone Ok?

Were there any casualties/buildings destroyed?

EDIT: Oh, ok so a couple windows blew and fire alarms went off, but overall nothing serious.

In that case, well....I dunno. Enjoying your days being cut early?

The reports say "Not powerful enough to damage most Canadian Buildings" so I assume things are fine, just a little shaky.

No damage reported. It's not like we have any sort of appreciable population or anything. ;)

I didn't even feel it.

I felt it!
There is construction outside my house and I originally thought it was that :p

Everything is fine though. I don't even think a single leaf fell off the mighty Canadian tree in my backyard.

We do not troll here.
If you see a troll report it.

Since we'll have lots of Canadians in here, why not check out Escapism Toronto? All us southern Ontario escapees will be there!

TROLLING! I am no troll!

I'm making note of the incident! I'm making LIGHT of the incident because according to all reports so far it's been a relatively low damage, scrapes and bruises sort of affair, no reason to take it seriously.
