Yeah...I'll just stick with Roller Coaster Tycoon. At least you only have to pay for it once.

I don't know what's worse. This, or those microtransaction prices they shoved into EVE.
...what does EA have to do with EVE Online, which is developed and published by CCP Games? Unless you're talking about a different EVE, that is.

This is when I will care - I have very fond memories of this on the Amiga, and I will be incredibly happy when this is made. As long as justice is done, if not I'll continue not caring.

In reference to the topic, doesn't really surprise me. The iOS seems to be a fantastic platform for high priced digital content - and whilst I'd never spend the extortionate amount of money requested for top tier items such as:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/appsblog/2011/aug/04/gun-bros-final-fantasy-tactics

The Gun Bros $500 Armageddon gun, I see no real harm in having the items there for those that have piles of cash and nothing to spend it on. EA are pretty late in the premium digital content market.

A company setting prices for products that people are apparently willing to pay for it? How incredibly evil!

If you have a problem with these sort of things, blame the people buying it.

If I wanted to play the originals I still have them on original floppy disk.

Seems you and the other individual quoting Good Old Games need to drop the attitude, and realise I desire a new article in the series.

Hence:

Although I understand that sometimes things can be missed when the Wing Commander police are on the scene.

Theme Park: One of my favorite games of all time. Now I have to watch it reduced to themeparkville.

I'm so disgusted right now.

Thank god I still have my original disc to play.

Anyone remember the black blobbish announcer guy in theme park world?

Well im pretty sure he is laughing in a "mwhahahahaha" manner after reading this.
Indeed. I always knew he had it in for me, ever since I was a kid and he yelled at me for never buying security guards..

Should probably have put CCP instead of "they", but d'oh well.

Back in June, CCP tried their hands at putting microtransactions in EVE Online. The only problem was that their idea of microtransactions was anywhere from $20 to $60 for a single vanity item. Not unlike what EA is doing with this.

Well sorry to be so crude but my thoughts on this are "What a load of old bollocks, does EA think we have pockets full of gold and brains made of shit?"

Seriously, this needs a symbol with a gold coin and a piece of old rope attached, i really hope this crashes and burns

Bah, who needs it. Roller Coaster Tycoon is the better incarnation of the genre anyway.

Well what do you expect from a company that has subscription fees and DLC [http://www.destructoid.com/oh-ea-subscription-charges-added-to-tetris-mobile-app-217054.phtml] for fucking Tetris.
Now that is truly impressive. Good show, EA. Good show.

Oh, cool this should be *CRACK*...

I think my Nostalgia just broke...I can go to Hershey Park three times for the price of one of those coasters.

What are they gonna do to my Theme Hospital? Ungh, I don't want to know...

well, it's available in canada, and to enter la ronde, the 6 flags park here, it's 60$ for a one day ticket, so the game is actually cheaper than the real thing !
