So we all know that localisation from places like Japan to lets say USA are strange and bewildering. This thread is really about sharing your views and talking about ones you find most interesting.

I'm honestly suprised by the difference between Digimon Tamers Japanese theme and the English Theme.

Kirby Box art is also a Good example.

Calumon: Hey that pink fella sure is angry. He must be a bad man, running off with other people's stuff.

Yeah, the Kirby boxarts always made me laugh. Seriously,it looks like those angry eyebrows were done in Paint (and I wouldn't be surprised it they were). As tough as they're trying to make Kirby look, they still can't hide that their game is called "Squeak Squad".

Also, the Japanese Ratchet and clank boxes always struck me as tremendously silly because of Ratchet's gigantic eyebrows.

Personally, I think it's hilarious all around, and it shows how game companies view their customers.

If these games are coming from large companies (and they are), every single one of these changes are based upon extensive audience testing.

(This means that while it does say something about the company that made the game, it also says something about you.)

I looked at the title of this thread and thought 'Cold War'. Then I remembered the date and contributed the following:

I think that whatever happens, this sort of thread, certain demotivational posters which I can't easily link here, and a general attitude of misunderstanding will stay put for a long time, because Asia, Europe, and North America have different cultures.
