Tis a sad day when someone will voluntarily play shit like Terminator Salvation just for a worthless trophy, but won't play a brilliant game like infamous 2.
Ain't that the truth
Once again, I don't consider running around a ghetto collecting medical supplies and zapping peoples satellite dishes fun.
Which is perfect, because as this topic has proven, you don't play video games for fun!
Children, settle down!

I love the inFamous games, and we all play for fun, but he doesn't like them, and he's playing these games specifically for a challenge with a friend. I could sing the praises of inFamous all day long and explain why his perception of the game may not be accurate, but that is not the point of this thread.

Do behave.
I don't think any of us believe he doesn't play games for fun... I think we all believe he is incapable of recognising the fun in games TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

Assassin's Creed 2 was pretty damn easy too. Only tricky trophy is the one to take out 10 dudes at once without being hit. But I think there's a cheap way to do that if I recall...
3 smoke bombs oughta do it. The hardest part is finding 10 guys together in one place.
Run around in your Auditore cape. I just ran for a while and I had a ton of guys chasing me. Also, the smoke bomb trick works well for getting the sweep trophy, where you trip five guys with the same sweep.

All my platinums come from fairly easy games.
Sly Racoon 1 and 2 required hardly any effort. Missing one trophy for the third game, but I cant be arsed with the challenges to 100% it.
Prince of Persia; Forgotten Sands and Sands of Time.
Mini Ninjas
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time
Assassins Creed II(the feathers were a pain though)

Uuh... should have five more platinums, but I can't remember which games.
Overall, if a game has a "Defeat game on highest difficulty setting" or "Collect all of x" I most often give up getting the platinum instantly. I still mainly play to have fun.

Its ok, just find him a game with really crappy AI, terrible weapons, a sub standard plot and a lot of cocaine and i'm sure he'll find all the platinum trophies he needs.

I don't know any games that have easy platinum, for I am not a trophy hunter (regardless, I still have the most trophies from my friendslist).

I really just came in to say:

OH MY GOD BACONSOUP!

Tekken 6 comes to mind, as does Heavy Rain if you can sit through something so godawful.

Probably most Lego games. Lego PotC was really easy to get everything as is lego indiana jones 2. It does look like the "newer" lego games are easier then the older ones.

Yea, I'm just not playing inFamous 2, especially twice thru. I have a serious disdain for that game series. How tough is Terminator Salvation on hard mode?

I forgot to ask; when a game gets DLC released for it, can you collect a platinum from just the core game or do you have to buy and collect the trophies from the DLC as well? I'm going to try for a legit trophy in Skyrim, but if a bunch of DLC comes out for it before I am done I doubt I'll be able to.
Terminator Salvation is piss-easy on any difficulty, and really damn short to boot.

As for DLC, it's usually on a separate tab under the main game, so the platinum usually only counts for the core game. The DLC usually get their own trophy set (no platinums there).
Know if that's true for Dragon Age: Origins? In that case I've got another platinum to collect!
Gave up when they kept releasing DLC after DLC and then the damn expansion.

Heavy Rain was fairly easy.
Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires was stupidly easy.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas were easy enough to get too.
Apart from driving all the vehicles (which wasn't really hard, just long winded) I didn't think LA Noire was too hard.

I do believe all the DLC's for Dragon Age are also on a sub-category and aren't part of the base game.

This is fairly easy to see. On your trophy menu, select the game. It'll originally give you an overall trophy progress, counting DLC's and expansions, but then you click on that, and you should have separate tabs for the game and its DLC.

Terminator is massively over-rated in terms of easiness. Hard mode is not particularly easy. We should define it by the challenge, not how long it takes. Fallout 3 is considered easy even though it may take 50 hours, likewise terminator should be considered moderate because it takes 12 hours but you have to play on hard where you'll die a lot more than fallout on easy mode. Also the fact it has only 12 is extremely unusual so people assume it means easy even though most trophies are just pointless busy work and terminator should be praised for not forcing you to collect 350 little things for no reason (hello infamous).

I can't think of a single game with good trophy implentation. Terminator's probably the best. The game stands by itself and the trophies are just a record of having played the game and not some pointless extra work. Heavy Rain's were terrible because though I loved the game, I did not want to play it more than once to get trophies. What happened in my single playthrough was what really happened and playing it again cheapens the experience.

Terminator Salvation under no circumstance takes 12 hours to finish! Even saying 7 or 8 hours would be pushing it.

As for the collections in inFamous, it's rendered child-like easy once you get Shard Sense, which points you to the nearest shard, regardless of where you are.

Has anyone mentioned "LA NOIRE"?

It's a great game and the platinum is very easy as long as you know what to do.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. It's really ridiculously easy. You can have them all in exactly 10 hours (I did). Plus, you get 6 silver and 9 gold with it (no bronze ones). And the biggest bonus is that it's a great game as well!

Oh, and Assassin's Creed II is very easy as well, though it might take a little more time.

Yeah, but since they're still in the same list I assumed they added to the platinum.
Good news! Thank you very much. :)

Since I don't give a crap about trophies I would say the games that I have platinum for: Borderlands, Fallout 3, and Asscree 2.

InFamous (If you have the patience for collectible hunting)
InFamous 2 (Again, the hunting)
Assassin's Creed 2 (Yet MORE hunting)
Saw (If you can stand the shit)
God of War 3 (If you can stand grinding for the 1000 hits)
Duke Nukem Forever (If you can stand another brown, health regen, 2 weapon, shooter)

I'd also say Bulletstorm, Dead Rising 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood but unfortunatley they require multiplayer for the trophies and the online for them is pretty much dead
