The La Rouche movement has some fucking weird views and historically has had more people connected with them take office as Democrats than any kind of right wing party, but it's ultimately a cult of personality centered around a dead nutter (like Scientology!), so...

You get that my point was that just declaring La Rouche right-wing doesn't really work, right?

They're basically a weird cult of personality dedicated to a dead man that doesn't neatly align to either current Democrat or GOP positions. Since their founder is dead, they're only likely to get weirder and more inconsistent (based on increasingly removed interpretations of what La Rouche would have believed) until they eventually dissolve. Or become a religion.

If we were to look at the effects they've had on politics, it would be more accurate to call them "Democrats" because that's the party their people are in when they win office, but that's not fair to Democrats either.
