ED-E trouble

so for the 50th time my conpanion in new vegas ED-E went missing and as usual he went back to primm.
but every time i walk into the place ED-E is it just turns hostile attacking everyone.

has this happend to anyone else? and does anyone have any idea how to stop this?

I haven't personally experienced this my only companion problem was with Boone where I was trying to activate his personal quest and I fast traveled before he asked me to go to Bitter Springs and he would no longer follow me around or move with me.
