Now, I just discovered him over the weekend, after seeing him CONSTANTLY recommended to me by Netflix. I finally caved into the pressure of the "we predict this to be a 4.8/5" and watched him, and found him to be fantastic. Not my favorite comedian by any means, but I'll certainly be watching any future specials.

I've seen the following thanks to Netflix:

Circle (2000)
Madison Square Garden (2010)
Dress to Kill (1999)
Unrepeatable (1994)
Glorious (1997)
Live from Wembley (2009)
Definite Article (1996)

And that documentary thingy, Believe (2009).

I was wondering if there was anything else he's been involved in that I should check out, and the Escapist's opinion on him.

See the running thing he did for Children in Need/ Comic Relief/ Sports Relief, it is really good and certainly worth looking at. Not so much comedy just following Eddie as he runs the length of the UK.

All I know about him is, he is a male lesbian, very smart, can speak french and ran round the UK in 52 days (or something like that) with no prior training.

I have found his style of comedy flys over my head.

I think those are possibly his best specials, so I can't recommend any others, but Eddie Izzard is actually one of my favourite comedians.

Pretty much everything I've watched of his is hysterical and I've yet to see one I didn't find funny or at least interesting like his run round the UK. Not really funny, but definitely worth watching.

I can tell you what you want to know about him, but you'll first need a tray.

He did that tv series The Riches. Never saw it though. I love Eddie Izzard but that show wasn't my thing. he's also in Ocean's Twelve in a small part I believe. Oh and the Avengers.

I'll just end with: ONE. OF. US. ONE. OF. US.

This is a serious thing this, but if you can find it, Eddie Izzard: Marathon Man is well worth a watch. If nothing else it proves he has balls and legs of cast titanium.

You've pretty much got all of his DVbunch of floweerrrssD releases there.

He also had a great straight role in Shadow of the Vampire.

He's also done a show called Stripped, which I feel is a pretty decent one (not his best though)

I love hearing his jokes, but I cannot watch his stand up. The cross-dressing is too distracting for me to fully enjoy the comedy.

He came to my university and told us to vote Labour when the general election was on...with hindsight i wish i did.

Izzard is a brilliant comedian, i have a lot of respect for him.

Do you know who I am?
Head of catering?
No I am not Mister Stevens. I am Vader, Darth Vader, Lord Vader, I can kill you with a single thought.
Well, you still need a tray.
No I will not need a tray to kill you, as I can kill you with the force which is strong within me; although I could kill you with a tray if I so wish, as I would hack at your neck with the thin bit at the end until your blood runs along the canteen floor

Weird, I don't remember that gore bit... but yeah, food's hot and stuff. Y'know the routine.
Now go get a flag.

I've... I've only seen clips of his acts on YouTube... it never occurred to me to look for whole routines on Netflix...
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm about to go watch a prancing transvestite for a few hours (totally not in a gay way, though).
