So today in only 30 minutes I will be getting the new game for the single most underrated franchise ever. Earth Defense Force. These games are the most fun things you could play. If you played them you know what I'm talking about. So have you heard of these games? Do you like them? Are you getting this new one?

The new EDF is out? Could've fooled me! I've hardly heard anything about it, and I was following it quite closely. In any case, I'm pumped for it. I'll check out a few reviews first, but I'll probably get it considering the discounted price and the awesomely fun concept. Oh and split-screen multiplayer! YES!

EDIT: also, if you're in the uk, pre order it if you want it. It's being given a "limited release" here, which means copies could be rather scarce. It's launching at £24.99.

Its one of those it looks so bad its good but then you play it and it's just mindless fun without trying to pretend it has a good story.

I absolutely loved 2017. Although I've got a friend who has probably purchased ~15 copies within the past couple years just to spread the EDF love.

He tossed me a mail this morning in regards to it being released today. Starting to suspect he's some sort of PR person lol.

We've had really awesome times playing Co-op though, the only problem was that you can only sign in with one gamer profile so only one person could get achievements >.> Although by all means the game only had 6 achievements anyways.

They actually fixed that. You now have to sign in with 2 profiles to play. Also there are real achievements not just win the game...a lot. Even though i did get all 1000 in 2017. Happiest moment of my...well of my EDF experience.

I'll be honest. I have never heard of it, but there were a lot of games I'd never heard of before I joined the escapist, like Diablo, Oblivion, Timesplitters, Red Faction, etc. I'm going to go look it up so I don't feel so out of the loop.
